• (2024-08-12) Heather Cloud: This app was excellent until August 2024 when google decided it is TOO good and therefore is removing it's functionality. Link Control made it so simple to customize website interaction. Google sucks.

For example, a new tab now opens when clicking a different google account to switch to it on a google app page, despite link control global or site settings set to open in same tab. Back to the original drag to url bar method 🤦🏻‍♂️

I switched to Findr because it had features for extensive tab management and let me search for my used links saving me a lot of time. • (2021-11-03) B P: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I configured it for eBay; now my searches work exactly like they used to. Links open in the same tab, and the back arrow in either Chrome or eBay returns me to where I left off on the search results page.

• (2021-10-31) S. M. Wolfkind: Ohmigosh, thank you SO MUCH! Found this through an Etsy community thread that I discovered while madly researching how to make Etsy stop opening links in new tabs. I'm especially desperate now that Amazon has taken up the strategy. My laptop only has so much memory and Chrome is a real hog for it under normal circumstances! I can't have 20 Etsy tabs open on top of the ones I want open, and still have a functioning computer. The progressive adoption of this website behavior by other sites is another maddening slice of control taken away from the users and I resent it. THANK YOU for returning control to us!!
