Install:
1. Click install
2. Make sure you have Google Meet Grid View installed
3. Open Google Meet (or refresh the website if it's already open)

However, with what I am assuming is an update to Google Meet, the extension has recently stopped working in any calls I make. I can see a space for the icon when I hover my mouse over where it once was, but I can't click on anything. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated by me and my students!

Dreisson Aguilera 2021-07-21: Sempre usei essa extensão para chamada e divisão de grupos, mas com as atualizações do Google Meet, está bem complicado, o problema que eu vejo é a necessidade de ter um Grid View para listar todos os participantes. Quando estou em aula com poucos alunos, sem problema, mas quando estou em atividades maiores, acima do layout do Google, as extensões não funcionam bem. Fico no aguardo para melhorias junto com as atualizações propostas pelo Google.

José Jemio 2021-03-12: Excelente aplicación, particularmente a mi me funciona muy bien, pero a algunos colegas no les carga la lista completa, no sé a qué se debe. Excellent application, particularly for me it works very well, but some colleagues do not load the complete list, I do not know why.

Only two issues: 1) I understand the extension is able to get the presence only of people displayed on the page (i.e. If I have 20 students I must move to a larger grid than the standard 4x4 otherwise the last 4 won't be listed). This is a little bit annoying because for instance I'm forced to check for present people before starting to share my screen, and if anybody joins later I am not able to get him/her in the list unless I stop presenting. Not a great problem, but I wonder if there is a way to manage this. 2) I'm afraid there is a little bug in Italian localization; in particular the translation of the label of the button "save list" should be missing or something else, because in Italian this button is not present. Luckily It is enough to enable the "force English" option to solve the issue. Anyway no great issue: it is a great help anyway! Thank you again!

Nikki Camera 2020-09-25: Super easy way to take attendance and do breakout rooms. This is much more user friendly than other breakout room extensions I've tried to use. Teachers -- if the links are not working for your students and saying they cannot join with their school account, it's because your browser profile is probably linked to your personal email. Click on the icon with the photo used for your email (next to your extensions) and make a profile with your school email, then open the browser using that profile, and start the meeting in that window. The links will work after that!

Kayla DeLong 2020-09-09: This is a really awesome resource when it works, but every class it decides to not. I had it working in one class and then the next one I couldn't get it to work. I understand it doesn't work when you try to open it from the extension pin, but why isn't it showing up when I open the Google Meet anymore?

Robert Jacobs 2020-09-09: It worked great yesterday. Today it just stopped working and does not even show up as an option. I tried removing it and reinstalling it. It is a school account, but strange that it would change in just one day. It stinks because I like this extension when it works and would have given it more stars. Any advice?

Extensions like this are difficult to build and Google is constantly adding updates to Google Meets, which can cause the extension to momentarily break. This is not the fault of the extension itself or its developers. I am grateful that the developers continue to support this extension and offer it for free. --A Grateful Teacher

Katie Roznai 2020-09-09: Yesterday I was loving this extension, but today it won't work. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, I tried closing chrome & opening again, I tried uninstalling other meet apps (grid view fix) to see if that was the issue, but that didn't work either. What happened overnight?!

Melissa Potts 2020-08-31: You have to refresh the attendance feature to get an updated attendance list, and this didn't work for me. Students come in and out throughout the meeting. Also, the grouping feature was great until I copy and pasted the Meets Links for Breakout Groups in the chat. I could open the Meet Links, but students could not. It could be something with my district, but I would watch out for that if you are wanting to use in your classroom. Made for a stressful lesson trying to problem solve!
