Some time when i used Stackoverflow to research and Jira for manage task, once i clicked on a link external link then it opened link on same tab. So i can't read other information on the task page.
This extension will open external link on new tab.

GitHub also need this feature, because some links, e.g. to external tests tools, are loaded quite (and unpredictably) long; going back / tab duplication is also clumsy. I also agree with the previous suggestion to drop google from the support scope, because google itself took care of it. Thanks for providing us with a great enhancement! Without this wonderful software I would still be cracking my monitor every time I use JIRA. On to the main issue. I am aware that a recent update has added Google search results as a target for opening new tabs. For search results, it is now configurable on Google's side to open in a new tab or in the current tab. I use chrome and usually like to open links in the same tab as much as possible to save memory on my computer. JIRA forces me to watch a snail race every time I transition between pages, but Google's search results redraw quickly so clicking the back link normally does not spoil the experience. Please, please remove Google search results from services that open in a new tab, or make it possible to exclude them from the settings screen. This is a sincere request.
