Effortless Access to Archived Articles
Archiphilo is a browser extension that can automatically redirect you to the archive.ph / archive.today version of news articles from supported sites, helping ensure access to preserved content—even if the original page is unavailable.
Features
- Automatic Redirect: Instantly forwards articles from popular news sites to archive.ph.
- Custom Domain Support: Easily manage your own list of monitored domains directly from the extension side panel.
- Context Menu Integration: Right-click on any page to quickly access its archived version, especially when automatic redirect is not enabled.
- User-Friendly Interface: Clean, intuitive popup for adding the current domain. Easily access settings and manage your monitored sites.
- Automatic Summary of Archived Content: Use your OpenAI, Claude or Gemini Flash API key to generate a short AI-powered summary, so you can decide at a glance whether an article is worth reading.
- Privacy-Focused: Only interacts with sites you specify—no unnecessary permissions.
Why Archiphilo?
- Ensure continued access to articles, even if the original site changes or removes them.
- Take control with a customizable list of monitored sites.

- (2025-07-22) M. D.: Nice extension, definitley does what it´s supposed to. I really love the possibility of automatic redirect compared to other similar extensions :) Well done!
- (2025-06-13) Daniel: This extension does what it promises. It lets you read articles instead of staring at "walls". Not revolutionary, but quite useful. I thought the AI summary was just buzzword fluff, but it actually worked. (Creating a new API key is really easy these days, so checking it out was a no-brainer.) Not sure I'll ever use it, because I actually want to read the articles :) - but it seems to do its job. Overall, it gets me to the content I want, and that's what counts. And the sidebar is quite handy. I wish more extensions would use that feature. Therefore 5 stars.
