The built-in page search function in Chrome is not powerful enough and cannot even differentiate case sensitivity, making it inconvenient to use.
Find Lite is a convenient and easy-to-use Chrome extension that helps you quickly search for text content on webpages. Specifically, this plugin supports the following features:
- Case sensitive search
- Whole word matching
- Regular expression support
- Highlight matched results
- Global preview, where you can directly view all matched results on the right side of the page.
In Find Lite, there is no need for any additional settings. The process for all operations is the same: call out with shortcuts - search - exit.
All you need to do: Command/Ctrol + Shift + f to call out search box; and Esc to exit box.

- (2024-08-24) Bryan Lee: Textbox popup does not automatically open search which is confusing UI and the text is in Chinese. However, after installing, refreshing previous tabs, and then using the recommended short cut (Command + Shift + F on MacOS), the search works well - a search box pops up and has the desired features of case sensitive, whole word, and regex matched searching which Chrome does not natively support. Short cuts to toggle these options would be useful.
- (2024-03-05) john p: It's a joke of an extension. Installed on Fedora 35. A chinese textbox pops up when hitting Ctrl+Shift+F and that's it. You can't enter text into that box. Absolutely useless and a waste of time.
- (2024-02-05) Lysander J: The shortcut is conflicted with an existing shortcut. And there seems to be no other way to call the feature . The only way out for macOS is by the way suggested by this answer https://superuser.com/a/1260437/1684208
