• (2022-04-15) Experiment 626 (Eric): I remember starting to play Dominus about two years ago, and I found it very interesting. Back then, I was incredibly dumb and didn't really know how the strategy worked. However, after basically taking a two-year break, I came back to Dominus. I watched a few tutorials and played a few games, and now I'm a lot better at the game. I really enjoy playing and do recommend it to anyone who likes strategy. Only problem is that if you really want to commit to playing the game, it can take a lot of time. However, I still think it is an awesome game and I hope more people can get into it.
• (2021-10-08) Siewerd: Its a lovely easy to learn (more difficult to master hehe) game, it has a small but close community who are open for new players en always looking to mentor. Don't hesitate and try it out :)

Its like a game where you can send armies to other people to battle, whoever wins becomes a king and the loser is their vassal. And the dominus is the player who conquers the land and people Its the game I've been looking for a while.

There is a smaller community so many people know each other well and it is tight-knit. Just a FYI, many experienced players can play a lot so being on top requires dedication, but with some work, talking, and getting to know people, it is possible

Sadly the game needs help, and the only way it's gonna find that help is by expanding the community, be a helper be a star, join a cul- I mean group of fellow video game players like yourself, yeah.

That said, it is a lot of fun and I have certainly enjoyed it so far which is why I'm giving it the holy 5* rating. Reason being it's free, addictive and giving me something to do during down-time on my holiday. (taken from the site) "Dominus is a slow strategy game that does not require a lot of time to play." I disagree, this game requires dedication - regardless of game mode. BUT, if you've played CIV or any turn based game (e.g. Risk) you know what you're getting into! Besides that it's really easy to get into, the tutorial system is very helpful. If you want an free and fun alternative to CIV this game is for you!

• (2016-07-28) DAIPAYAN MUKHERJEE: Good concept, but needs a lot of tweaking. The game description and some other people talk about how you don't need to spend too much time on this. I can confirm that that is absolutely not true. If you want to stay near the top, you either need to have very good connections or be dedicated af. Since most new players don't have these connections, there's very little chance of being near the top. Besides that, there are some logical gameplay flaws, and glitches that can be misused. That said, this game is unique and worth trying out, and truly free-to-play. Try this out, but e warned, to win this game, you need to spend a lot of time on it

• (2016-05-18) This is probably the best RTS game i've ever played! The concept is good and the fact that it's slow paced means you don't get stressed because too much is happening at once and you can just send a few troops to go somewhere and check back a few hours later. It's easy to learn and there's no pay-to-win. The only thing wrong with it (and it's only a minor bug) is that the in game clock is an hour wrong.
