• (2024-11-25) D R: Beware of CouponCabin - Feels Like a Scam to Collect Your Identity and Residency Information I had a terrible experience with CouponCabin that raises serious concerns. After clicking on one of their money-back offers and providing purchase proof, I initially received an email stating that my offer was approved. However, shortly after, they claimed there was "suspicious activity" on my account and demanded documents to verify my identity and residency. Here’s the alarming part: they asked for highly sensitive information, including both sides of a driver's license, passport, birth certificate, or even a citizenship certificate—with no redacted details allowed. For residency, they wanted utility bills, tuition invoices, credit card statements, deeds, or even personal checks. Even worse, they expect you to send this over email, an insecure and unsafe method for sharing such critical personal information. This is not a bank or a reputable financial institution—they're a coupon company! The level of detail they're requesting is excessive and downright dangerous. I strongly caution anyone considering using CouponCabin. This process feels like a blatant attempt to collect sensitive information, and the risks of identity theft or fraud are far too high. Avoid them at all costs.

I don't know their experience, but I have certainly benefited to the tune of over $300 in only a year since joining. Don't let the bad reviews scare you away. Just READ the guidelines for offers. My money is deposited directly to my PayPal when I reach a $50 threshold that I set for myself.

More than half my activity through CC was not successfully tracked, and I've had support requests stretch out to 4+ months with no resolution. Often CC's cashback rates were within 0.25% of competitors, and it's just not worth the time and effort to have to message their support system for a quarter of a percent of my purchase when rak or Honey work better. Also, recently they've been adding more restrictions in to help deny giving you cashback on certain sites (saying that if it isn't automatically tracked you cannot even open a support ticket about it). Just deleted my account.

Given that most computer experts recommend VPN's as a MUST HAVE these days, Coupon Cabin needs to fix this issue! I have not had any issues with the 2 other major plugins that give cashback that I use. Thank you.
