FAFO Local Media Center lets you link your own local video and photo folders to create a beautiful, immersive dashboard every time you open a new tab. Unlike other dashboard extensions that just cycle static images on a timer, this extension is a true media player.

🎥 True Playback Logic: Videos play to completion! Whether it's a 10-second clip or a 2-hour movie, the player intelligently waits for the file to finish before transitioning to the next item in your playlist. It also supports looping for perfect ambient backgrounds.

⚠️ Important First-Time Setup:

Keep It: When you first install the extension, Chrome will ask if you want to keep it or revert to the default New Tab. Select "Keep It" to use the app.

Link Your Media: The library starts empty. You must go to the Options menu and click "Link Video/Photo Folder" to grant the extension permission to access your local files. Your privacy is paramount—files stay on your machine and are never uploaded.

Advanced Layouts: Choose from Cinema (single focus), Grid (video wall), 3D Carousel (interactive ring), or Collage (scattered photos).

VFX Particle Engine: Overlay fully customizable particle effects like Fire Embers, Volumetric Smoke, Heavy Snow, Digital Rain, and Neon Pulses.

Cinema Ambilight: Enjoy a dynamic, glowing background that reacts to the colors of the video currently playing.

Theme Engine: Customize the entire UI's accent color to match your setup (Cyberpunk Cyan, Matrix Green, etc.).
