Generates links to other VODs allowing you to easily sync clips and vods.
This extension only works on Twitch.tv
LookingGlass helps you sync a Twitch clip or a vod with another streamer's perspective. The input box underneath all Twitch clips/vods makes it easy to watch the same clip from multiple perspectives.
Also adds input box to nav bar called express vod to instantly open latest vod of inputted user.
Submit /options into the inputbox for LookingGlass options.
Submit -name to remove name from auto-complete. example: -spaceshipcaptain
Submit a name with ctrl+enter and it will instantly open a found link in a new tab.
LookingGlass embeds into Twitch pages so if twitch changes certain tags on it's website the extension can fail to load. If you notice this, you can open a new issue on github or email me directly and I will get it back up and running as soon as I can.

- (2024-05-07) Ellie: Edit - 2024-05-08: Love the new update! Incredibly useful tool when catching up on Twitch VODs. The developer is also very quick to respond whenever issues arise, they were really kind! I would recommend it to anyone who likes to view multiple perspectives from different twitch streamers.
- (2023-12-27) donovan: Very useful extension! I have used Twitch clip/VOD sync by mig25 but it broke and doesnt seem like it will be updated anytime soon. I really like that Looking Glass adds HTML elements (as opposed to clicking the extension up top) so I actually remember to use it. I am also surprised how often I find myself using the Express VOD feature. I probably use it more often than the extension's main functionality! Thanks SpaceshipCaptain EDIT 12/27/23: Still using it 1 year later and the extension is still criminally underrated. I use it to watch RP streams and its so useful for VOD frogs like me. Without a doubt my most used Chrome extension.

- (2023-06-29) Stoika: If you are a regular twitch user this extension in extremely useful, can't recommend it enough. I use it on a weekly basis and never failed me once. I would love to ask for the devs if is it posible to implement an option to search for an hour, for example 12:03:30 pm, and get go to the part of the vod that was streaming at that time. I think it would be a nice extra feature.
- (2022-02-28) Spaceship Captain: I updated this extension but it's stuck pending review. Instructions to manually update here: https://github.com/SpaceshipCaptain/LookingGlassTTV No automatic updates if you manually add it to chrome but the webstore is taking longer than usual to approve. The current version breaks on the 28th at midnight and the webstore doesn't let me edit the overview text without approval so I have no way of letting people know what's happening. Apologies but hopefully it will be approved soon. Best way to contact me is on twitter @spaceshipcapt
