The app was good, but it is opening ads in new tabs, I understand that you want to make some money, but not this way.

REMOVE this extension from Chrome and delete it. The orginal Dev sold this to someone else and there is hidden code inside that can randomly open up a new tab to boredtravel.com. Report this extension to Google.

Contains malicious code that opens the website boredtravel.com in a new tab when first opening your browser and then reopens the tab every few hours later. Extension by itself does a great job, I used to like it, but version 1.0.23 contains malware code that makes your browser open the website boredtravel.com in a new tab from time to time. It is working great, but it randomly opens new tabs with ads in it.....

It now contains adware that will randomly open unrequested ad sites. I strongly recommend uninstalling this extension.

Previous developer sold app to someone else. Latest update starts opening up spam pages related to travel. Was a good app and they're taking advantage of that to spam people. DO NOT TRUST

This extension installs malware which at certain times open a tab with some sponsored site. Have debugged it and found the malicious code. Avoid

Used to work fine but since update 1.0.23 on 19th November, the background.js file periodically opens a new tab to the URL returned from "https://demo7530752.mockable.io/url". This new tab is typically a shortened URL at ourshort.com that actually redirects to a page at boredtravel.com

This has worked for me for ages and now i am getting virus like spam new tabs opening to "boredtravel.com" randomly. Checked online and in the source code and since yesterday they have added this to ruin a decent app. Now using the "show lyrics" extension instead as i dont like malware. Since the latest update (Nov 19), this extension is opening spammy popups to a junk travel website. Repro: Enable extension. Wait 20 minutes to an hour. Notice another page on the mysterious travel website has opened. Disable extension. Wait several hours. Notice no new pages have opened.

Abuse / Exploit since latest update! Original author sold the extension (honestly, can't blame him, sometimes you just lose interest) to some third party and the latest update changes the extension so that it doesn't work (at least when trying it with Google Music) and it opens up spam links. Google ""bored travel" pop up" and find the reddit discussion on there. Download the real last working version on the Github page (search for "erichlotto/play-music-lyrics-fetcher"). Good luck.
