Customize the look of Google Docs with a modern dark mode and a dynamic, colorful light mode.
Easily switch between dark and light mode for any document without modifying the original project. Access customization settings in the extension option menu, which can be accessed by clicking on the extension icon in the browser toolbar.
Customize the accent color using the hue slider in the options menu, which is used to set the shades of color in light mode.
With the invert option, document content (excluding some elements, such as images) will be rendered in a comfortable dark mode. By disabling the document border option, documents will blend into the background to create a seamless workspace.
To temporarily toggle dark mode on/off, click on the button in the bottom left corner of the page. Sometimes this button may block other elements, such as the word count widget. When this occurs, enable the Raise Button toggle in the options menu. This button can be hidden entirely in the options menu.
The global toggle in the options menu can be used to disable/enable the extension.

It's customizable and easy to read in dimmer conditions while allowing me to keep my PC brightness up. I use Google Docs a lot for mod tracking and mod listing purposes, which helps me out in the evening. There is much less eye strain. Many thanks to the creator(s).

- (2025-02-27) Lauryn Marsh: I've tried about 9 other chrome extensions so far, and this is the only one that really works. At first the colors all inverted but if you go to the menu, you can change this by checking or not checking the invert colors box. So helpful and saved my eyes.

- (2025-01-19) PON PON PATA PON: edit 2 ā a previous update removed the ability to customize document background color and removed pageless documents having a separate color to the UI (i.e. dark mode was, for a time, worthless for pageless documents), so you had to invert the entire document's colors. thankfully, this was recently fixed. I AM SO GLAD it was fixed, bcz i got this extension to not have to invert document colors
