For those having problems, make sure you try both the left & right Ctrl buttons, as it might only work with one or the other. Edit = Stopped working on April 13.

I also really love reddit, I found this extention through reddit. But for me the problem of finding it was I did not know what those things ( youtube control player ) called, I did not even know what to search for. So I used a terminology I remembered from 3 years ago, HUD on GTAV5. So maybe something could be done so that people can find it more easily? Huge thanks again dude little update: I think you would get a ton more downloads if you make it easier for people to find your extension, maybe advertise it on youtube itself or show people how valuable it is as when someones watches lyrics, a movie, CS50 course in my situation, I would want to take a snipp, a screen shot without the youtube player controls. And a ton of other not-mentioned benefits. Good luck for everyone reading my review. P.S. I also wanted to know how much time was invested into making this extension

• (2023-09-11) Jim Au: I just installed to Chrome and Brave on Mac. Both are not working. When press ctrl+M, it just worked like a play and pause action. Video control did not disappeared at all. So disappointed. But I am not sure why it is working for others. Note: Both my Chrome and Brave were updated to latest version before I installed Hyde.
• (2023-09-11) noob 316: I absolutely love this extension. Worked great, and definitely useful. The only issue I've had recently is with the new Opera GX update, it no longer works on it. Opera GX is the browser I use, so this is unfortunate, but I'll still rate it 5 stars as this seems to only be an issue in Opera GX and no other browser.

• (2023-08-04) Artisan Dejure: Seems to work. Why isn't this or something like it a default on YouTube? It is very basic UX usability. When I pause something, I want to look at the screen, so why cover it up? I consider this a bug, and this extension the workaround.
