Description from store
When you pause a YouTube video, the player controls don't disappear. That makes it really hard to take a clean screenshot of the video. The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.
⭐ Simply use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+M to hide the controls or show them again. ⭐

- doesn't work from a few weeks ago. perhaps because YT update sth?? In my screen, another control bar appears "behind" of videos, at the beginning. And I guess that it disappears instead of original control bar.

The review : Didn't work at first. Only muted audio. Thanks to @Ehinomen Justin: "To get the extension working all you just need to do is to go to your browser's extension shortcut page and set "hide/show controls" to Ctrl + M"

- It worked perfectly until recently where youtube started to push a new clunky player design into beta test. your plugin still does good as long as I watch videos on the in-page player, but when I'm fullscreen, hyde doesn't know how to hide the thumbnails of "MORE VIDEOS" peeking from the under side. Hyde blocks the title bar, player controls and all that jazz, but this new addition of "new videos" shelf that can be dragged up by a mouse gesture or key V, but is protruding in the normal state as long as the player controls are supposed to be visible.

- didnt work

- When I downloaded the extension on edge it didn't work. Instead the edge browser would just simply mute the tab whenever I pressed ctrl + M. This led me on a wild goose chase to try disabling the specific ctrl + M shortcut in group policy settings and whatnot. To get the extension working all you just need to do is to go to your browser's extension shortcut page and set "hide/show controls" to Ctrl + M. Man what a pain

- it works very well on Chrome, but i recently changed to Brave and it doesn't work here, can it be updated or is there an alternative?

- How to make it work on Brave : RIght click on the Hyde extension icon in toolbar, select "Manage Extension", click on "Keyboard Shortcuts" from the left side menu list on your screen, click the edit icon for "hide/show controls", press the "Ctrl+M" keys on your keyboard. Ensure it is shown as Ctrl+M in the textbox and you are good to go! It works as expected.

- Worked perfectly until recently, now it doesn't do anything :( Update: Nevermind, it works just fine with videos when they have regular youtube links, but not when they have 'live' in the link.

- Very good Extension. I just have one complain, can you add a way to change the default hotkey "Ctrl+M" with any other combination of keys? or at least a set of options to choose. My problem is that in Brave the "Ctrl+M" is also used to mute the current browser tab. So Brave takes in consideration first the default option to mute the tab and totally ignores the extension.
