This may or may not be something you can do easily or might be a simple code modification; I have no experience with API code or practical programming experience but if it's something I can ask: could you do me the kindness of assembling a version of your extension that tab-searches Google Canada (google.ca) rather than the standard Google.com, even if it's an unpacked version requiring Developer Mode to be active, that you could send to me directly?
