Description from extension meta

Automatically blocks users verified by Twitter Blue.

Image from store Block The Blue - Twitter Verified Blocker
Description from store This extension will block any Twitter Blue Verified users on Twitter. It ignores organizational verifications, but will otherwise block ANY blue verified users. Inspired by the #BlockTheBlue campaign. Elon has started giving blue verification to users and celebrities who did not buy it. Sadly, they will still be blocked because it is impossible to know who did and didn't pay. To get around this, the extension only blocks verified users once. If you unblock someone blocked by this extension, they will never be blocked by the extension again. The extension will not block verified users you follow. The extension will not block yellow checkmarks (organizations). The extension will not block grey checkmarks (politicians). I doubt the Twitter API would have ever allowed this for long, so this extension directly interacts with Twitter's DOM (Document Object Model). As such, you will briefly see the pop-ups of the blocking interface. This extension was made late at night, so sorry if there are errors or it goes haywire. Currently, it seems to be working as intended but time will tell. The maximum accounts that can be blocked on Twitter is 125,000 so its doubtful you will hit that limit anytime soon. Good luck, happy #BlockTheBlue -ing!

  • (2023-09-21) lulu: gente pelo amor de deus não tá funcionando pra mim mas pra outras pessoas sim oq pode ser??
  • (2023-09-12) ぼばそー: I was so angry at those annoying hyenas with their blue badges that I was hoping that if this tool worked well it would surely work great, but it didn't. I see from the reviews that some people are able to use this tool, so please tell me what went wrong.
  • (2023-07-20) Jessica C: I was excited to have a chance to automatically block trolls, but this extension does not work on Brave. Guess I'm going to have to rely on blocking by hand because I'm not giving up online security.
  • (2023-07-20) Robyn Mapp: expected but for anyone curious doesn't work on opera.
  • (2023-07-16) Steven: This is the best extension of all time for Twitter. Screw Blue checkmark users (except for artists who are trying to help advertise themselves and people who post full movies) and a bigger eff off for Elon Musk.
  • (2023-07-14) Jacob Allen: Sex
  • (2023-06-24) Ricardo Vargas (RangePup): Makes things unclickable when it's detects a Blue user, so opening an image and if it detected something in the side bar would close the image and you're stuck waiting til it's done processing the block. Also makes it impossible to use the front page to log in because it tries to block all the promoted tweets, but there's nothing to do while being logged out, so you just can't click on anything.
  • (2023-06-13) Atte Waenerberg: It's very effective, however when clicking on an image it would take me back to the timeline if it blocked someone in the sidebar. If I wanted to expand an image I'd have to click on it multiple times until there were no bluechecks visible. I don't know if this is fixable but I mainly use Twitter for art so it ended up being a bit too annoying.
  • (2023-06-11) Art Was Here: would like to see a feature to auto-block subscribers on posts. I'd like to auto-block certain user's subscribers, but not all of them are blue checks. it also makes sense TO allow blocking of yellow checks. will change to 5-star if i see these added.
  • (2023-05-31) Author N. Malone: Took a restart of the browser to get it to start working, but then BOOM! This is the best extension I've installed and I couldn't be happier. Not having to see all those hateful, grotesque, bot-filled posts at the top of every tweet is so amazing. Thank you dev! You're an absolute legend!
  • (2023-05-23) Andy Brown: Fantastic extension, makes twitter sort of usable again
  • (2023-05-15) Shadow: Why block the only normal people? I use such autoblockers for people with post horn, Ukraine flag, NAFO idiots, mRNA genocide lovers, etc.
  • (2023-05-12) Dank Reddit Memes: No feedback on if its working or not, and trying to open the extension does nothing
  • (2023-05-08) Matthew Gough (Aehmttw): This may be the best extension now. With who seems to have the checkmark, running this when going into a post on certain topics just makes twitter so much more enjoyable. I might not get rid of the app now.
  • (2023-05-07) Maarten Mooiman: Awesome extension! The only thing that would make it better would be an option to easily pause it. I like to browse Twitter with the extension not doing anything and then turn it on at some point to block blue commenters. At the moment it is a bit of a hassle to turn it of. And I don't want to block the big accounts because of Blue. (The accounts that probably would have been verified under the old system.)
  • (2023-05-07) Davey B: Have only just added this extension and it got to work blocking every blue tick account I saw, including ones retweeted by those I follow. So with that said, is it possible to have a version which just blocks blue ticks in the comments? I don't mind when those I follow share from a blue tick account as it's usually something worth reading. The reason I have installed this is to remove the paid for guff at the top of comment sections under viral tweets. Otherwise, great work.
  • (2023-05-05) BrindaTatsuki: Was doing great until it started auto following people with blue checks instead of blocking them.
  • (2023-05-05) Shikaternia: Not working...
  • (2023-05-03) Matthew Christopherson: Best block the blue extension there is, works perfectly.
  • (2023-05-01) shiniebub: works wonders, however try to not open any popular and/or political tweet, your tab will be nigh unusable at that point with how many accounts it'll be blocking.
  • (2023-04-29) Rod Miller: Does not work
