This extension has two main features:
1."Pay to Pass" Website Blocker:
Website Blocker that plugs into Habitica and limits you from visiting websites that you decide. You can decide to visit these sites by spending Habitica currency, which you'll earn by developing good habits and doing chores.
2.Pomodoro Timer:
Including a Pomodoro Timer.
You can read about the pomodoro technique here:
https://habitica.fandom.com/wiki/Pomodoro
During Pomodoro mode, all websites in the list are blocked, websites with cost 0 are blocked only during pomodoro.
A Pomodoro habit is created automatically for the user in Habitica, with an option in the extension settings to automatically score [+] or [-] of the habit when a Pomodoro is done successfully or fails accordingly.
How to use:
After installing the extension, click on the icon at the top right to open the menu. In here, you must set your API Credentials. You can then block a site by navigating to it and clicking block site. It will ask you to enter a cost. From this point on, when you visit this site, the extension will ask you if you'd like to spend GP to access it. To start a pomodoro timer simply click on the Tomato character. Click again to stop the timer. In the settings you will find a lot of option that allow you tweak and change the pomodoro behavior to fit best for you.

- (2025-06-23) Rida Mahsen: Man I really loved the UI and all of that but the timer glitch's so much , for example when I freezes the timer for like 2 minutes and I come back it reset the timer all my previous pomodoro session and it doesn't even count the time by the way I uses windows 7 so I don't know if the problem with is with my version of chrome
- (2025-06-17) Mayar Alomari: it's amazing! a good feature to add would be full screen timer but that's it!!
- (2025-04-08) Erik: It's a great extension, but I think needs a dark mode, and will be perfect
- (2025-03-27) gemini: Would love a dark mode, and for if the browser was closed, it could be resumed. Other than that and everything else it's so good and has made me use Pomodoro gladly. Highly recommend for anyone with ADHD, lack of self-control or need valuable discipline for various tasks daily. It highly depends on if you're valuing to-do lists themselves, though, as it uses Habitica's own rewards-which is completely satisfying for me.
- (2025-02-08) Dev Sharma: I'm thankful to God that such a thing exists!
- (2025-01-18) irzi: Super helpful! Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated since 2021.

- (2024-09-14) Joshua Dixon: I love it, but the option to set task description for pomodoros will make it better. It will be useful to review hours/number of pomodoros spent on specific tasks in the history summary (for weekly timesheets etc.). Pause button will also be great.
- (2024-09-10) Kuhana Rajan: literally the best thing EVER. changed my life and oddly enough, EXACTLY what i was looking for???????? please. please PLEASE keep supporting this extension, i need it in my life 🥺🥺
- (2024-06-20) Seif Sgayer: Just love it. It works and it gives you more incentive to stick to it. Also got some nice stats and history. Does the history stay in the Habitica account? I hope so. Because it's really great feature.
- (2024-04-21) Vaishnavi VV: This is the cutest pomodoro chrome extension. I really need a pause button feature. I know it is distracting for some people, but because of frequent interruptions and duties i need to pause the time while studying. if you give a setting option for those who need the pause feature people will turn it on. And for those who find the pause button distracting they can switch off the setting of pause button option. Please provide pause feature asap.
- (2024-04-15) R T: Good when it works. sometimes pressing the tomato does nothing so I have to turn off the extension and then turn it back on again

- (2023-06-08) AM Wostan: Just found out that this exists today and it got me playing Habitica too. I don't know how I didn't know about it before. It ticks all the boxes for me and works perfectly. I really like that you can customize the sounds that play when the timers end. Overall, Love it.

- (2023-04-12) Qwerty David: This is genuinely my favorite extension. It takes a little bit of self discipline to resist the urge to always activate vacation mode, but apart from that, it works like a treat (maybe making vacation mode a reward could help?) The only complaint I have is that same complaint many others have: you should be able to pause the timer. It can still lock you out of the site when you pause the timer. It just doesn't feel fair to have the timer always running, since most of the time you need to get up to do little things like go to the bathroom, or drink water, or eat, or maybe some emergency crops up. And I feel like it kinda defeats the purpose in the first place, since it's better and healthier to take regular breaks and get up more often than having to stay glued to the screen for 1 hour because the timer is always ticking down.

- (2023-01-31) PodyP: I like everything except the fact that you can't pause the timer. I need to start over again if I want to get water or use to the washroom while the pomodoro is running. But this does not take away from the fact that this extension is very helpful.

- (2023-01-05) kenrick encinas: Im so happy this exists i remember using habitica back in the day, but it didnt really work for me, i need something with a heavier hand like a site blocker that i can pay to access via habitica coins, and this works soo well. i only wish i could pause the timer. and i wish that i had more granular control on the blocker. for instance i wish i could white list specific YouTube channels and their videos, like a tutorial channel for instance.

- (2022-12-18) Murilo Barbosa: I'm using the extension for almost a year and recently blocking new sites isn't working. I can block, but if a close chrome and open again it forgets this new block (old blocks are working as intended). For example, I block www.google.com and it works, but if I close chrome and open it again, I need to block again the site.
