may be useful for an extremely lightweight chromium browser that doesn't even support browser tabs. I can't see the point, we have bookmarks and tabs. the only use case that I can think of is when you do research. opening 20+ tabs on one topic, cherry picking some tabs then switch topic, so you can have or quickly clear them, but again, bookmarks suit better with folders for this purpose.
