Esta extensión te ayuda a distinguir visualmente entre diferentes entornos añadiendo una etiqueta de color a sitios web específicos según la configuración de la URL.
Es compatible con expresiones regulares (incluyendo comodines), un selector de color y preferencias de posicionamiento personalizables.
¿Por qué usar Environment Marker?
En los proyectos de TI, es común trabajar con varios entornos, como desarrollo (Dev), QA, staging y producción (Production).
Sin embargo, como estos entornos suelen ser visualmente idénticos, los errores pueden ocurrir fácilmente.
¿Alguna vez intentaste hacer una "prueba rápida" en el entorno de desarrollo y te diste cuenta demasiado tarde de que en realidad estabas en producción?
Los errores de configuración y los cambios accidentales pueden ocurrir fácilmente, ya que la única diferencia visible suele ser el discreto URL en la barra de direcciones del navegador.
Aquí es donde Environment Marker entra en acción.
Esta extensión gratuita y de código abierto para Chrome te permite definir las URLs de los entornos de tu proyecto y añadir una etiqueta de color en la ventana del navegador para identificarlos de un vistazo.

Características:

Cómo usarlo:
Después de la instalación, ve a Configuración de Chrome > Extensiones > Administrar Extensiones
O
Haz clic en el icono del lápiz rojo al lado de la barra de direcciones.
Abre el menú "Opciones" en la sección de Environment Marker.
Configura tus entornos y haz clic en "Guardar".

⚠ Importante: Antes de actualizar, exporta tus configuraciones para hacer una copia de seguridad.
Ve a Configuración de Chrome > Extensiones > Administrar Extensiones, abre el menú Opciones de la extensión y usa la función Exportar.

- (2022-03-31) Bruno Silva: Thanks for this extension, it's very helpful! One small suggestion: it would be nice if the "hide label" action could keep the state between page refreshes. That would be really useful, for example, when checking pages on small screen sizes, where the label can really get on the way, and hiding it after every page refresh is a bit annoying.
