• (2024-02-15) Gert van den Berg: Was useful, now way too expensive for someone that is using it to try to make sense science, without being paid to do so. It promised making it much easier to check how a paper was received, but now has the same paywall issues as many journals.

• (2021-07-01) Neri Marsili: Maybe it is in my subfield (linguistics/psychology), but it gets everything wrong. It fails to identify most supporting and contrasting citation. When it classifies one as such, is oftentimes incorrect (e.g. the citation is not actually supportive) or misleading (e.g. a self-citation of previous research). Scite would be a really cool instrument; but at its current state, it does not seem to work for entire, massive fields of studies.

  When I try to download and install your Chrome extension, it fails. I get a message that says An Error Has Occurred - Download Interrupted. I have other extensions that I use in Chrome. Also, I have tried to disable some of them to see if they are interfering with the download, but nothing has worked. Are there any known conflicts you know of?

This vulnerability, publicly identified as CVE-2021-44228 and also known as “Log4Shell”, affects multiple products across the IT industry like the ones mentioned in this list.   On pages where the chrome plugin detects a paper, I occasionally get the text 'scite_' in enormous font size overlaid on parts of the page. It scrolls along with the page content and is very annoying and clearly not intentional. Chrome version 87.0.4280.88 on MacOS Mojave
• (2019-10-21, v:1.4.0) Jeevin: Cannot use when set to read and change site data when click on extension
  When using scite, I want to allow permission only when I click on the extension. However, it just gives me the same menu as when i right click the extension instead of activating it. I hope you make it so that i can us the extension on only the web pages i want and not having to give access to all my web pages
