FasterWeb uses just-in-time preloading, which preloads a page right before you click on it. In addition, FasterWeb enriches search results by adding the smart search widget beside the search results.
The FasterWeb works best on pages on the same sites. Pages to external sites are still faster but more is needed to be noticeable.
How it works: Before clicking a link, hover your mouse over it. When you have hovered for 65 milliseconds, there is one chance out of two that you will click, so Faster Web starts preloading at this moment, leaving on average over 300 ms for the page to preload.
Pages that trigger an action (such as logging out or deleting something) are excluded. (FasterWeb won’t preload pages with a “?” in their URL.)
FasterWeb — previously called FasterChrome — is based on instant.page, a library that you can add to your site in just one minute to give it the same speed boost.

- I absolutely say this with confidence, DO NOT USE FasterWeb FOR ANYTHING NOW! The latest update hijacks your DNS requests to redirect you to a tatrck domain, which according to Malwarebytes Browser Guard and UBlock Origin is malicious for hosting malware. What a shame for this to happen to this application, it significantly improved Chrome with it's fast page loading but at this point in time, it is NO LONGER WORTH THE RISK OF POTENTIALLY INFECTING YOUR SYSTEM

- Malware now. Google links started being routed to a tatrck domain. This behaviour stopped after disabling this extension. As far as I'm concerned it's compromised and I would now consider it malware!

- What a shame... This is completely useless now, as others have mentioned it redirects most links to some shady tracking site first. They're just trying to collect and sell your data. Google really ought to remove this extension, because it's now just spyware.

- I was using this extension for the preload feature when hovering over links. Despite the annoying habit of occasionally opening ads for its other extensions in new tabs, I kept using it. However, with recent updates, they've added something like an AI feature to Google search results. The extension is increasingly deviating from its original purpose and becoming shady. That's why I stopped using it.

- Used to be good, but the new "update" makes it complete spyware. It redirects most links to some tracking site first. People who do not actively use adblockers or DNS sinkholes may not even realize this. DO NOT USE!

- upon updating the plugin, it opens a new tab for "Manganum Sidebar", an ad for a plugin. Not only that. it adds some sort of "AI" to google search called "Smart Search" on the right sidebar. kind of annoying that it doesn't prompt me telling that its from this plugin. I'm here just wanted to load the web faster, and not ai trying to tell me to add glue to my cheese.

- For those who are confused, IT DOES WORK. The way it works is that it minimizes a couple hundred milliseconds by pre-loading frequently opened tabs as well as pre-loading websites when you hover over a website's link which can work in your favorites tab or just searching normally on Google. The effect is small, but there is a difference and to test it, you can hover over any link for 3-4 seconds and watch how much faster it loads. Of course the results are better for people who ACTUALLY need this tool (slow internet OR low-end computer) versus someone who already has great internet speed and computer specs. The code is open source and there is no harmful malware plus the creators (browsecraft.com) have had a good reputation with other extensions which people liked.

- Horrible. Opens ads for a horrible AI product. Very malicious and intrusive. Also opens ads in Google searches!!

- This is a malicious extension. It modifies SERP pages and navigates to ads unprompted.

- This addon rocks! My only request is for the ability to disallow its use on certain websites. Some sites have strict rate limiting built in and because this addon requests pages quickly, it triggers the rate limiter on such sites. Other sites such as certain Laravel pages, it causes problems with because of the preloading.

- Seems nice, but it conflicts with IDM extension, making any file link I hover downloaded by it, would be good if you could prevent this issue.

- I like your extension, BUT it will cause annoying issue if use together with IDM or any download managers. When i mouseover a dowload link (e.g: docs, pdf, exe) & it preload the link, download manager may assume user click on link & auto prompt for download file.. Do u have solution on this? May review rating again if issue resolved.
