We try to convince our customers to use it as well (for the issues we can't reproduce) as it keeps track of network calls and console errors.

  • (2022-02-15) Erich Lehmann: It's a fantastic piece of software. So easy to report bugs to developers now. It just does all the complicated stuff in the background (recording screen, tracking console). Big fan!
  • (2022-02-14) sdet test: Very helpful tool to analyse an issue and report as well.
  • (2022-02-14) Melonies Sue: very nice tool to record the bugs!
  • (2022-02-10) gueste 9324: Messes up your console's stacktrace and and does not actually cover all browser errors shown in the regular devtools console. Turning on "Bug Watch" will lead to wrong stacktraces in the DevTools console ( console logs then pointing to instrumentConsole.js of the extension ). This is because BugReplay will wrap the website's console object in JS. Also not all errors and warnings you might see in the original DevTools console will show up in BirdEatsBug. Collected network data is incomplete as well (only ajax calls, no html page load or image loads) and timing data might not always be accurate. The root cause for all this is how BirdEatsBug chooses to inspect browser tabs: in a quite invasive way by injecting code into websites rather than using the browser's own designated debugging capabilities. All in all great on the outside, but hacky on the inside.
  • (2022-02-09) Gustavo Sanabria: Bird Eats Bug has helped us a lot to understand the issues our customers were experiencing and that leaded us to improve our services across all platforms!
  • (2022-02-08) Zaccaria Ricci: Wow was searching a nice reporting tool like this, unique for the task, really useful. Maybe a functionality i would add is to export the report in other formats.
  • (2022-02-07) Jo Roe: Bird Eats Bug has been very helpful for me as a QA tester. I am able to record complex bugs including the browser console and network calls, which makes it much easier for a developer to investigate. The new Replay option has come in handy several times just today! I don't even have to explicitly be "recording", but if a bug occurs, I can grab the replay and get much of the same information as if I had been recording from the start!
  • (2022-02-04) Aleksander Czyz: This extension is simply amazing!
