AutoRename is a Google Chrome extension that can automatically rename image files downloaded from the internet into something more meaningful than a generic string of characters. This extension can be useful if you want to easily identify the original source of an image or if you want to keep your files organized. For example, if you have a favorite photographer, illustrator, or artist whose work you frequently download, AutoRename can save and rename the file in a well-organized format. If you are a journalist and your website supports displaying the file name, this extension can be beneficial.
Please note that it is important to be mindful of copyright and intellectual rights when downloading images. The developer and contributors of AutoRename are not responsible for any misuse of this extension.

- On X (formerly Twitter), you can include the username and post ID when downloading images
- On Reddit, you can include the Subreddit name and post ID when downloading images
- On Threads, you can include the post ID and username when downloading images
- For X (formerly Twitter), pictures can automatically be sorted by username
- Download multiple photos at once (Currently supported on X and Reddit)
