• (2023-08-20) Eve: Easy to use! Just click the "capture page" button in the extension, and it will download a Figma.json file. Import the Figma.json file to the Figma plugin, and voila! The Figma file that is created by the extension does require some management, but overall it's awesome.

Hay que tener la extensión en Chrome y agregar el Plugin en Figma, se llama igual: "Figma to html" con el mismo logo, descargar el plugin en Figma y ahí importar el json (se importa el jason en la pestaña de "Import to Figma" y hasta abajo en donde dice "Step 2: here"). El json lo tuvo que haber descargado la extensión en Chrome, ¡bum! Se hace la magia. Geeenial. La adoré

• (2021-02-11) Olja S: Captures are in 90% distorted, messy and out of proportion. Can change a circle to a square, change fonts, dis-align whole paragraphs, all of which makes the results useless. Another big problem - often when deleting already saved .json file the extension is unwilling to make another one of the same page. Just writes "it's done" but no file is offered for saving. Very interested in listening to solutions if the problem is on my part

I didn't find how to import the generated json in Figma, then I read the comment about the figma plugin, so I ended up using the figma plugin. With this, I can press a few buttons and have something workable almost instantly, and pretty much perfect in a couple of hours. This saves be absurd amounts of time and is what I've been looking for for so long. Thanks for creating this!
• (2019-10-09) Hoby Van Hoose: This is amazing and wonderful—a very straight path from web page to design software. Previously my main route was using the Paparazzi app, saving to pdf, then importing to Sketch, then tweaking either by hand or with a Sketch plugin that I wrote. THEN if I also wanted it in Figma, import the Sketch file.

• (2019-09-24) Andrew Sittermann: This morning I said "OMG - it would be SO NICE if someone has built a plugin to import real webpages" and then I found this. It's made my day!! The only wierd thing I have is that with the plug-in, my imported pages are larger than expected. My monitor is full HD but the imported frame is 2133 wide (Chrome for Windows)

  HI, great idea but is something wrong as of July 12th 2023? have followed all instructions however when I get to the part of opening the html to figma in figma (I'm using the design view, not the FigJam view right?) I only get a little pop up telling me to 'select a scene' then it disappears :(

  The plugin acts as though it's downloading the JSON conversion, but doesn't successfully output a file. There's a failure in the console stating the following: "Uncaught TypeError: html_to_figma_1.htmlToFigma is not a function at 117 (inject.js:96:30)" I've tried this in Chrome on Windows 10, as well as Chrome on MacOS with the same results.

  As of the morning on 8/31/2022 the extension no longer triggers a download in chrome. Clicking capture page does not create a file to upload into Figma. I use this extension on a daily basis and love it! It makes designing new components or pages a breeze. I would hate to lose this tool

  For my initial attempt at using this plugin, I installed the Chrome extension, used it to download a `page.builder.json` for a simple page, then tried importing it in Figma. Not until visiting the reviews and seeing one of your replies to another confused user did I understand that a separate Figma plugin was necessary. Anyway, my suggestion, as you''ll have guessed from the subject, is to make this clear right off the bat from the Chrome web store Overview. :)

  I'm using the plugin to import a large site's administrative tools. The problem is that every rectangle is outside any grouping. If this tool could group the elements by their container then this would be a great solution! But as it is, it just presents me with thousands of unassociated objects. Or, am I missing something fundamental?
