Λόγω κάποιων πρόσφατων αλλαγών του YouTube, η επέκταση δεν μπλοκάρει πλέον το βίντεο στο YouTube για υπολογιστές αλλά μόνο το κρύβει. Ωστόσο, το βίντεο μπλοκάρεται κανονικά στο YouTube Music και στο YouTube για κινητά. Προσπαθούμε να το διορθώσουμε. Μείνετε συντονισμένοι!
Η μοναδική επέκταση για το Chrome που όχι μόνο απενεργοποιεί το βίντεο αλλά επιπλέον το μπλοκάρει. Η καλύτερη επέκταση για να μειώσετε την χρήση της CPU και GPU, να εξοικονομήσετε δεδομένα και να αποκρύψετε NSFW περιεχόμενο. Λειτουργεί στο YouTube, YouTube Music και YouTube βίντεο ενσωματωμένα σε sites.
ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΕΣ (ΟΛΕΣ ΠΡΟΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΕΣ):
1. Μπλοκάρει το βίντεο διατηρώντας μόνο τον ήχο
2. Αποκρύπτει τις μικρογραφίες των βίντεο
3. Αποκρύπτει τα άβαταρ των καναλιών/χρηστών
4. Αποκρύπτει διάφορες άλλες εικόνες
5. Απενεργοποιεί το μήνυμα "Το βίντεο διακόπηκε. Συνέχεια παρακολούθησης;"
6. Κάνει skip τις διαφημίσεις
Ξεχωριστές ρυθμίσεις για YouTube, YouTube Music και YouTube βίντεο ενσωματωμένα σε άλλα sites. Δυνατότητα ενεργοποίησης/απενεργοποίησης της επέκτασης για όλες τις καρτέλες ή μόνο για συγκεκριμένες καρτέλες.
Επιπλέον επιλογές:
1. Ο χρήστης μπορεί να επιλέξει την εμφάνιση των μικρογραφιών των βίντεο στο YouTube
2. Αποκρύπτει τις μικρογραφίες των βίντεο και άλλες εικόνες στην αναζήτηση Google όταν κάνετε αναζήτηση για ένα τραγούδι ή έναν τραγουδιστή
3. Κουμπιά γρήγορης πρόσβασης: δύο επιπλέον κουμπιά στο YouTube έτσι ώστε να μπορείτε να αποκρύψετε τις εικόνες και να μπλοκάρετε το βίντεο γρήγορα χωρίς να χρειάζεται να χρησιμοποιήσετε το popup
Σημειώσεις:
i. Τα Live YouTube βίντεο αποκρύπτονται αλλά δεν μπλοκάρονται
ii. Αν έχετε ενεργοποιημένες τις επιλογές 1, 2, 3 και 4 οι εικόνες όχι μόνο αποκρύπτονται αλλά επιπλέον μπλοκάρονται εξοικονομώντας περισσότερα δεδομένα
iii. Το μήνυμα "Το βίντεο διακόπηκε. Συνέχεια παρακολούθησης;" απενεργοποιείται μόνο όταν το βίντεο μπλοκάρεται

- (2023-05-30) P H: Something has changed recently (writing this on 5/30/23) causing the extension to break YouTube Music. YT-M will just act like it is loading the first song to play indefinitely, never succeeding to do so. It wasn't until I turned off the Video blocker under the YouTube Music section in the extension options that the issue stopped happening. Since this feature is the primary reason I use the add-on, the add-on no longer has value to me. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future version.

- (2023-01-06) Natakiro: It works great, overall. However, sadly, it does not work with Picture-in-picture mode on the Vivaldi (chromium) browser; it just refuses to enter this mode. The option to show a static thumbnail is a nice option, and I was hoping I could enter PIP mode with this mini player showing this static image, since I like seeing the cover of the album of playlists on my other reference screen while doing digital art, but it just doesn't work. it seems I will just have to turn the quality down to use PIP and not use this extension. :(

Only one thing should be fixed: if the extension is enabled only for the current tab and I restart the browser, the extension is not enabled anymore for the same tab and I have to enable it again. - (2022-10-13) Matthew P (Code Bender): I've been using this extension for a few weeks now, and I like it, but it's unfortunate that it's a bit of a pain to access from the YouTube Music app since you can't pin extensions in that. My main complaint is that it doesn't reliably prevent the automatic hourly (?) pausing that YouTube does to make sure you're still listening. As a feature request, I would love to see a context menu option to allow the video on a song-by-song basis, or even a context option to enable / disable video as we wish. This would make it much more accessible than having to navigate the menus to turn off all the features on the page. One other observation is that the song art still displays in the Toast notification on Windows 10 when you use a keyboard command (I have one with media controls) to pause the music. All together a solid extension though. 😀

One gripe I do have is that it wasn't clear enough there was a shortcut to enable/disable the extension for a tab (not a lot of people read the update logs, especially if they just downloaded the extension!). Also, I saw a suggestion where the extension should display the thumbnail instead of the logo/black screen and I do agree: it would make the extension even better! Anyway, 5/5, best extension of its kind, and as someone said "It just works".
