# SSL Grade (Chrome Extension)
## About
This Extension shows the Quality of the SSL Conection of the Current website.
this extension downloads the Quality Rating from SSLLabs.com. and displays an
icon matching the rating in the adress bar. this makes it easyly to discover SSL problems on the sites your visiting.
## Privacy
This extension itself does not Collect Any Data. But it is querying an third party Service:
`https://api.ssllabs.com/api/v2/analyze?host=<domain.tld>`
therefor it is possible that ssllabs.com is learning which Domains you are visiting.
## new in version 1.1.1
this is a bugfix release, it fixes a bug where http urls did not resulted in an sslscan when clicking the "No" icon. this is fixed by correctly initiating the scan.
## TODOs:
* Handling of Domains Where no Result is in Cache.
* configurtation Options:
* Do Not query Automatically
* Clear Result Cache
* Cache Results for <X> Hours
* Better Icons?

- (2023-12-13) Raymond Cornelis Kamp: This plugin works very well i only have 1 issue with it, i cannot by forehand allow access to all sites since google removed the padlock icon this is a nice plugin to see very easy if a website is using ssl the correct way but every site require access resulting in the icon to represent "NO" so meaning the site is not secure I want a function to allow access to all websites in 1 click then you can get a 5 star from me ;)

- (2017-11-10) Zere Bruin: Does not add much value, as sites that are not listed on SSLLabs. Would be really useful, if one could trigger an actual SSL check, but this way. Also unclear why this extension needs access to the browsing history.

- (2016-10-12) Dahlia Williams: Just shows "No" for the https sites I am interested in. Clicking on "No" just brings up the chrome web store page.
