- (2025-07-10) Archie Micheal: for a lot of things separate spellings and stuff wasn't censored because you couldn't really add multiple names and for some things you had to click on it to take effect rather than replacing it first.
- (2024-10-10) Sofia Lindgren: Doesn't work, first page I tried it on refused to load as long as the extension was enabled.
- (2024-08-08) angry bird1212: does it's job, but slows down the browser to the point that some pages freeze after being loaded for a few seconds
- (2024-08-06) dinocalamari: iirc (if I recall correctly), I heard about this extension through TikTok or YouTube during quarantine and decided to give it a try since I was struggling with some dysphoria at the time, and it actually ended up helping me out a lot. The extension replaced all mentions of my deadname with my preferred name on literally EVERY webpage, so it ultimately helped me to feel a lot less anxious/worried about being "jumpscared" by my deadname while doing zoom classes or visiting other sites. It pretty much worked like how people advertised it. I don't really use this extension anymore since it's become a lot easier to handle situations where I see my deadname, so I don't necessarily need it, but this is honestly one of the most helpful extensions I've ever used; I'd definitely recommend this to others!!! (Also: I kind of wondered why it wasn't possible to set/change multiple names, but I kind of figured out you technically can through the middle and last name boxes.)
- (2024-07-24) Amber Grace: Functions seemlessly, but I'm using this for professional purposes to hide my coworker's names while screensharing at this point. This extension is only good for one person, and won't let you set replacements for multiple people at a time. Since I'm not using this for myself, that's the only thing I would really ask to change. May end up having to switch to a new extension or write my own in the future for this reason.
- (2024-07-08) Keira Midson: i honestly cant lie im only here bc interactive fics was removed but this works so incredibly well for what i need it for <33
- (2024-06-26) COOL NINJA: omg whoever made this I literally love you- I've seen some people mentioning issues; I just installed it but so far everything's working :)
- (2024-05-14) Skyla: Worked great until entire bodies of emails wouldn't show up within gmail due to them containing my deadname. For some reason, if an email contained my deadname, rather than the deadname being replaced with my preferred name, it would just entirely delete that email. The email preview would show the email itself just fine, and would even replace my deadname with my preferred name there. Overall, great idea, but buggy execution it would seem.
- (2024-05-07) Lore: I have never been more excited about an extension in my entire life
- (2024-05-05) Wybie Pie: Didn't work :/ Downloaded it, wasn't entirely sure how to set it up. I think I figured it out but then it didn't change anything at all.
- (2024-03-14) Wen Demarchi: Excellent! Works as intended and the option to add in multiple spelling of the deadname, nicknames, or misspellings is great. Only complaint is that it changes my deadname when it isn't specific to me. Its kinda confusing when I see celebrities with my name only to realize they probably had my deadname (which I don't mind seeing as long as it's out of reference to myself). Seeing that the extension changed the name of whole pages on wikipedia or movies/books etc. was funny at first but now kinda frustrating. One of my deadname nicknames is a fairly common word and as much as I love my new name, seeing it appear randomly in sentences is annoying. I don't plan on disabling the extension bc/it has been very helpful for documents and school accounts but I wish this issue could be fixed. One possible way is having some sort of setting like shinigami eyes where you can choose what websites you would like your preferred name to appear on. Overall, great application and I def would recommend but there is an issue that should be fixed.
- (2024-03-11) Ted :D: NEVER HAVE I EVER RAN TO THE GOOGLE EXTENSION STORE SO FAST YES YEYEYSEYSE (IT WORKS)
- (2024-02-27) Bag Plays: There were some problems with it that others have likely mentioned, most notable for me was capitalization. My school used all caps for account names and it was weird trying to account for that. It would be more streamlined if you could put in Deadname and Name and it would change DEADNAME, deadname, or Deadname to NAME, name, or Name. Names with multiple capitals might complicate that, I'm not a programmer. Overall, it was a good tool to reduce dysphoria or other negative feelings from reading the wrong name and also good for trying out new ones. I had to reinstall it to write this review because since first installing it, my name has been legally changed and I don't often come across my dead name thus I no longer need it. To everyone who needs this extension: it gets better.
- (2023-12-09) Nicole May: Love it, but I can't keep it on all the time. Some pages, most notably email apps, seem to crash with this. Since Chrome doesn't have a blacklist option for extensions, only whitelist, could you add an option to the app to disable on specific sites? Similar to how you can pause adblocking on specific sites?
- (2023-10-27) Rose S: Used to work well, now it locks up the pages. Is a good extension, however.

- (2023-07-23) Emily: Qu'est-ce que c'est que ça ? J'ai cru que mon ordinateur avait un problème mais c'est cette extension absolument pourrie qui m'a rendu inutilisable mon navigateur. Vous pouvez corriger ou... ?
- (2023-07-05) Isa Shisha: I thought this would work on chrome anywhere. It ONLY works where the extension was downloaded. So it shows my dead name on google on my phone but changes it only on my laptop. Unless somebody is using my laptop, the deadname will still show up.

- (2023-05-12) MTK: This used to be absolutely amazing extension, but as it stands it just makes web pages freeze up and make the browser nearly unusable.

- (2023-03-15) levi: I'm so glad it worked, it's honestly embarrassing when people find out I'm trans and now I won't have a problem with hiding it. There's no sign of my deadname anywhere anymore.

- (2022-12-14) Morgan Jensen: Core functionality works great thusfar. I have two gripes however. The first I'm unsure of how to fix, but my deadname is a pretty common name and it will replace other people's names that happen to be your deadname with your new name, which I feel could become confusing. The second is the highlight feature doesn't work on my computer. I'm still trying to get insurance updated so I was intrigued by the ability to see where my deadname still was without having to look at it, but when i toggle it all new loaded tabs will open and crash/buffer forever and it eats most of my RAM. very strange. Both of my issues could probably be solved if the highlight feature wasn't bugged tbh. It's not like it interferes with functionality to not have a side feature like that, but it did get my hopes up and briefly made me lose internet capability on my computer while I was doing a research project, and for that it loses a star.

- (2022-11-13) Oliver Larsson: This is such a good tool that really helps me with my gender dysphoria (excuse my spelling). I'm out at school and the school is really supportive but can't change my name on school accounts and other stuff (it's really not their choise. They can't do anything about it untill I have changed my legal name which is gonna take a while for multible reasons.) What I'm trying to say with this rant is that it works great and helps a lot!

- (2022-11-02) LCTapps / 1994 STUDIOS: It certainly can be effective. I don't have a preferred name. I got this extension thinking you'd be able to register names of multiple people. Right now, this extension isn't helpful to me until some sort of feature is implemented where you can add preferred names for other people.
