Helps you be healthier by making Reddit a little less addictive
deReddit is probably the simplest and worst Chrome extension ever made. All it does is destroys some of the functionality on Reddit.com to make site less addicting - like a nicotine patch for the Internet. It turns all the links purple so your brain stops getting so excited by having new links to click on. It hides your vote counts so your brain can't be excited when you people like what you write (though I left the mail icon because sometimes you actually want to respond to messages). It also hides the domains that links come from so you can't rationalize: "oh, imgur.com, that'll be quick and harmless to open". Don't teach yourself to game it or it's worthless! Just let your brain be disappointed when you tab over to Reddit for a week or two and let your "new content" addiction gradually wither away. Or that's the theory, at least...
