The extension allows you to create a handle that others can tag you with inside of the LiveStream chat window. LiveNotify will highlight your tags in order to draw your attention and displays a desktop notification when somebody taps you.
Clicking on the notification will automatically bring up your Chrome window and switch to the LiveStream tab that the chat is taking place.
