If you intend on using it for anything other than playlists, or if you don't mind shuffle, I would recommend it, but if you don't like listening to playlists on shuffle, don't get it.

The sad part is that my videos now pause more than ever before because of the errors in this plugin. They pause right on loading the next video. I don't recommend this plugin. Off to find another way to get youtube to stop pausing my videos. For the Dev: Running a playlist on RANDOM with 400+ tracks on it. Your app works for about 30 mins to an hour. It will then pause a video (seems to be random which ones), at this point it seems to pause every or every other video in my playlist. Good luck trying to get this functioning properly!

• (2023-03-02) David Truong: Loved using this for a long time but some update recently caused it to being auto-playing random videos after one is over even though auto play is turned off as well as shuffling my playlist... People say you can turn off auto-play / shuffle button in the settings but for me, going to the extension settings only allows me to change site permissions, no actual function options to the extension itself... If someone could step by step explain how to turn it off that'd be appreciated

• (2023-02-09) Balthor: Fails to fully provide the basic functionality of preventing the horrid auto-pause, and has severe issues overall. Most important thing is the fact that it doesn't really prevent Youtube from randomly pausing - at best it delays it from triggering, but once it does you have to manually resume the video yourself, and once it's happened once it'll keep happening again and again for every video unless you go to the tab and press play directly. Sure, the actual pop-up itself is gone, but not the real problem underneath! Beyond that, the 'auto-skip' feature is incredibly stupid, as it's from what I've seen a second autoplay button - and autoplay's already garbage because it relies on YT's completely awful recommendation algorithm. This inane "feature" is turned on by default, which has lead many to rate this extension poorly out of cluelessness - for once, deservedly so! The 'auto-click' shuffle and/or loop feature doesn't seem to work either - if you don't turn on shuffle and/or loop yourself in a playlist it does nothing, so you have to turn those on yourself, and at that point I fail to see if the feature does anything at all. It might change how the somewhat poor shuffle YT offers works, or might even make it worse, but I've found no discernible difference while listening to my playlists on shuffle. All in all, it needs to be updated ASAP, at the very least to fix the main problem - the broken/stupid secondary features are bloat IMO but I wouldn't care very much about them at all if the core feature worked!

But perhaps in the settings if possible you could implement a feature where it only affects one tab. Just as a QoL but we don't NEED it.

However it ruins the youtube Mix, so when I choose a playlist I want to hear it as it is and not shuffled. So it tends to be more annoying than having to press OK to continue every now and then.

• (2022-03-11) No Name: I don't even know if it actually solved the problem because I was too distracted by the fact that it kept shuffling my music even when I double-clicked the shuffle button and made sure the message said "shuffle is off". I have my music in the order I want it, dang it. I'd rather have to go back and close the "are you still watching" thing every 4 songs or so than have to stop after every single song to relocate my place in the list.

But... when starting a new video on youtube, it always refresh the page after 1-2 seconds and restart the video... it's pretty annoying. So.. yeah.. need to choose between that or the music pausing on youtube music :/
