Neutral is a universal browser extension for the Twitter website.
The purpose of the extension is to make it easier for users without a Twitter account to enjoy Twitter, while also providing Twitter users who have an account with an experience that attaches less emphasis on follower, following, tweet, and so on counts.
While Neutral hides the various counts from the Twitter website by default - it still is possible to make them visible again by hovering over them. Since v1.9.0, the extension removes the functionality where a popup asks an unauthenticated user to sign up when visiting one of the three timeline tabs:
* Tweets, Tweets & Replies, Media.
This enables unauthenticated users to view the tweets and media tabs by clicking on them, the replies tab no longer shows a pop up but still needs an account.
Since v1.11.0, the extension rewrites the profile url on a users profile page (`https://twitter.com/user`), to be a direct link to its destination instead of going through https://t.co to get there.
Neutral is open source, you're welcome to check it out:
