Add share/import capabilities to the Garmin Connect website. Sharing you workout becomes really easy.

Simply create your personal workout as always and click on the "Download" button inside the page.

Send the json file to your friends to let them import it in their Garmin Connect profile.

Joost van Kempen 2024-08-20: Repeats don't work on Fenix 6 devices (and probably earlier) as the export/import changes the workout repeats to skipping the last rest. This however is not supported on the Phenix 6 so when syncing the workout, it gives an error "skipping the last rest step is not allowed on the fenix 6" not allowing you to sync the workout. The solution is to replace the repeats on the target account and then re-sync the workout. It would be nice if this option would not be changed by the export / import scripts. Also the json file is not downloaded but copied to the clipboard meaning you need to create a file to copy the data to. Something less tech savvy users might not realise.
Caitlin Williams 2024-08-10: I think I've worked out how to find the download button. You have to go into the custom workout you want and you will see "edit workout" and "send to device" in the top left. If you then hover over the menu on the left the download button appears to the right of "send to device"

Reported an issue to Filippo whereby (only) swim workouts weren't able to be downloaded following a Garmin update and he fixed the issue within a day

Now when I try to use it I have to download each workout individually instead of having the ability to download all my workouts I've made and have stored in my library in one go. Is it possible to get this feature back?

Edwin Yung 2023-06-13: works perfectly. after installing the extension, just refresh the 'training' page on the Garmin Connect webpage. The Download button should appear to download the .json file. To import, login with the other user then click import, select the .json file you want to import. (you must have the extension on the computer your are importing from as well).

Clayton Collins 2021-08-04: It took a little bit to find where the option is to download, since I was looking on the Training > Workouts page, which lists the workouts you have saved in your Garmin account. But after clicking into the workout, to the right of the name, it says Edit Workout, Send to Device, and this extension adds another option/button that says Download.
