• (2023-09-15) Joe Black: I added it to Chrome, clicked the icon, hoping that some sorting menu would be displayed, and this bastard immediately sorted 6,000 bookmarks in its own way. Horror. It's good that I have two computers and I managed to export my bookmarks on the second one.

• (2023-01-05) Winged Tenacity: It's just a quick recursive alphabetical sorter. I used to use super sorter but suddenly it wants to know my browsing history so this is its replacement. (Pretty sketch when when a bookmark sorter wants to see your browsing history...) If you use ``Super Sorter`` switch to this! (Why isn't this function built into chrome ... why is it built into edge and firefox and basically every other browser.)
• (2022-12-28) Pat MySecret: It really does its job! Alphabetizes all bookmarks in a jiffy! It's also pretty system intensive.. If your system has any weaknesses, running this may show you the weakpoints of your system from TaskManager .. I was surprised to see my disk struggling more than the memory. Someone mentioned that it reordered his Bookmark Toolbar. I keep my buttons in Icon form only and didn't have that issue.
• (2022-08-29) Ken Winter: Amazing. I have over 14,000 bookmarks, and it alphabetized them instantly! I agree with some other reviewers that it would be a nice enhancement to give the user some selectivity over what folders get sorted. A simple version of this enhancement would be to let the user select a folder (in the Chrome bookmarks manager) and have this app sort just that folder's contents (recursively). You could get all you folders sorted (recursively) at once by picking the root folder, but you could be more selective when/if you needed to.

• (2021-11-22) Muhammed Ali Yeter: That was something I was looking for, thanks for the job. However, if you can provide us a couple option, that would be awesome. For example, I would prefer subfolders to come after bookmarks, not before. For another option, I would like to sort bookmarks according to url not the bookmark name. Also, that might be an edge request tho, I would not sort the bookmarks bar, just inside of folders would work better for me.

• (2021-02-06) Leo King: Got to knock one star off, as this recursive sorter seems to use alphabetic sorting. If I have folders numbered from 1 to 10, it will go "1" "10", "2", "3". Which is sorting, it's just ... not the most useful form of sorting. Otherwise, it's a great free extension which does what it says on the tin. I'd happily put 5 stars back if you were to change this feature. Thanks dev!

This one worked in an instant with many folders and sub-folders and sub-sub-folders etc and this extension is as simple as possible. Thanks for making this!

Visszarendezési lehetőség nélkül minden mappában és almappában összekeverte az eredeti magyar alfanumerikus sorrendet!! A magyar nyelvben sorba rendezésre nem tartom alkalmasnak, ez a program csak kárt okozott. A programozó úgy tette közzé a programot, hogy felelőtlenül nem tesztelte azt le, hogy milyen nyelv esetében működik megfelelően. Valóság, hogy a programozó tényleg nem írta le, hogy egyáltalán milyen elvek szerint fogja rendezi a könyvjelzőket. A program a számítógépre beállított alapvető nyelv helyett más nyelv -alphabetical order- sorrendje szerint működik. A program Törölve.

• (2020-03-21) Michael Greene: Wow!!! Install, click the icon, wait a few seconds, and its done. I've saved countless hours of sorting and arranging all of my subfolders within their parent folder. In other words this app does a global sort of every folder in my collection of saved folders. This should be a feature for the Google Chrome OS. I highly recommend this app. Fantastic work Yuchen Wang!

It would be better if the user had some input into the sorting: * don't sort top level * don't sort these directories / dir matches : aaa; dirB; another_dir; this/sub/dir * sort these dirs by (say) date; this_dir; */recent; anotherDir There should be a context menu pop-up, that lets the user tag/set the sorting rules for the selected directory. There was an old Firefox plugin that did all of these, and would run on startup if you wanted. Those were the days . . .
• (2019-08-15) Chris Williams: Last Chrome update removed prior extension installed. Tried Super Sorter by Richard Corner but did not recursively sort as advertised. Installed Recursive Bookmark Sorter and worked as advertised. Thank you developer!

• (2019-05-18) Andrew Debenham: I'm still not sure why this isn't built into the bookmark manager in Chrome, but I'm glad the author of this extension took the time to do something about it. It works as advertised and I no longer have to select each folder and then sort by name. The only improvement I would like to see is to add an option to exclude a folder. For example, I have all of my most visited sites on my Bookmarks bar, so it would be nice if this folder wasn't sorted. Other than that, great job and great extension!
• (2019-05-05) George Morgan Dorgan: Does it exactly, what it should do, namely sort all bookmarks over all subfolders. Same as Sprucemarks extension. But a lot more simple and possibly not consuming so much memory. Just click on button instead of having a background process running. Disadvantage: Only Alphabetical (I do not need anything else)
• (2019-02-19) Argyle Kenneth Dobbins III: This little extension just saved me a headache. I have in past. Exported my Bookmarks to Firefox to sort them because Chrome for some reason only does one folder at a time. On top of hiding the sort bookmarks functions in the Bookmarks Manager vertical hamburger ... You would think that the developers would incorporate this for those, like me, that literally have thousands of bookmarks. On top of no URL link to the Chrome Extension Store in Google Chrome itself. Which is another gripe of mine.
