AutoCAD adalah format fail yang dibuat oleh AutoDesk.
Autodesk menjadi terkenal dengan AutoCAD, tetapi kini mengembangkan pelbagai jenis perisian untuk reka bentuk, kejuruteraan, dan hiburan — dan rangkaian perisian untuk pengguna, termasuk Sketchbook.
Fail CAD membolehkan syarikat memvisualisasikan projek / pembinaan dalam bentuk 3D sebelum bangunan bermula untuk memastikan tidak ada masalah dengan reka bentuk. Sebilangan besar perisian 3D menyokong format fail CAD kerana ia digunakan secara universal oleh kebanyakan syarikat.

- Quick and easy extension to add to chrome to quickly view a DFX file. Does what it says on the tin. Would like a way to better view multiple files without having to scroll - maybe in a grid?

- It works for me, if I look under extensions for Chrome (the puzzle piece icon) and click dxf viewer. This extension opens and lets me choose a dxf file to view.

- Unclear if this extension is triggered or how to trigger it. Chrome still says it is not able to preview DXF and if I open it directly it displays the raw text.

- Opened file to remain active after loading a new different dxf. Closing dxf viewer and reopening it allow the new file to be viewed.
