L'estensione Reader View rimuove il disordine dalle pagine web per migliorarne la leggibilità. L'estensione utilizza la libreria Readability di Mozilla come motore per fornire un'esperienza simile da ciò che si ottiene se si utilizza il browser Firefox. Dopo l'installazione, viene aggiunto un pulsante alla barra degli strumenti di Chrome o alla barra degli indirizzi di Opera.
Premendo una volta questo pulsante si apre la pagina corrente in modalità "Vista lettore". Noterai che il colore del pulsante diventerà arancione mentre sei in modalità di visualizzazione del lettore.
Facendo clic su questo pulsante arancione o premendo il pulsante Indietro del browser si chiude la modalità "Vista lettore" e si ripristina la normale modalità di rendering. Poiché l'estensione utilizza l'API della cronologia, la posizione di scorrimento della pagina e l'intera sessione vengono ripristinate quando la modalità "Visualizzazione lettore" viene terminata.
