Reply to long emails point-by-point. Highlight text, press a button, and the quote shows up in your compose window.
We add a button to your compose window. When replying, you can highlight text you want to respond to, push our button, and we'll add the quoted text right in your compose view. Note: if you currently do inline replies by clicking the "..." at the bottom of your reply window, this extension means you don't have to. Like in the screenshot, you can highlight text "above" the reply window, from the email you were reading. Note: On extension updates, the extension becomes invalidated in already-open gmail tabs, and won't work until you refresh the tab. (As far as I know, I can't make this more seamless without asking for more permissions in your chrome. I don't want that, sorry for the inconvenience!)
- (2020-10-29) Aditya Bhaskar: Simple and awesome. Thank you! Is the code open source and available anywhere? It'd be useful if the selected text is copied and pasted 'above' the original email, where I can reply. Instead of replying solely inline as at the moment.
- (2020-07-08) Lenny An: Finally able to quote in an email client! Huzzah
- (2020-07-07) Richard Chen: This is a pretty convenient tool for quoting things in previous emails. Intuitive and easy to use.
