До этого использовал расширение с аналогичным назначением, которое обросло всяким ненужным функционалом, поп-апами, навязыванием регистрации в комьюнити расширения и т.п. Терпение лопнуло, отключил, нашел вот это, установил, настроил и вполне доволен. Лишь бы и это не испортили излишествами.
• (2022-05-10) Eric G: It works okay for single words and sentences, however the cursor remains in the middle of the text instead of at the end of the inserted text. The formatting for paragraphs is off and where ever a line break should be it remains on the same line with @@ at the beginning of sentences. Have to manually go through and remove the @@ and separate paragraphs.

  Hi, I want to replace ... (3 dots, 3 characters) with the smart character ellipsis … (1 character, attainable with ALT+0133 in Windows). However, if I type in any word ending with the 3 dots, it won't change to the smart character. Example: "My good... friend." does not become "My good… friend." It does not identify the three dots because it sees the whole thing ("good...") not just the three dots. I get that, but I would like to know if there is any way around it, like having a wildcard so that anything that comes attached to the three dots gets replaced with the smart character. Like: *... (the asterisk here being the wildcard, meaning anything attached to the three dots will get replaced).

  hey guys! the extension stopped working in the Zendesk textbox and, counting the platform, I got this return: "I performed some tests and it really didn't work in the text box but in the ticket and title fields it did. Our team checked it but unfortunately we don't have the resources to investigate the extension because it is a third party application, we don't have access to the logs or configuration, our view of the problem goes to chrome logs (in Inspect > Console feature) and in this panel, you can't see any errors. There has been no system change in recent days that could have caused this.   If I add a space at the end of my shortcut I find it really odd that the space is then not consumed and replaced by the resulting substitution. Like if my shortcut is "brb " the resulting expansion would be "be right back " regardless of whether or not I've included a space in that expansion. Basically a use case where I want to include a space in my shortcut, but don't want to have one at the end of the expanded text seems impossible as things currently function. I think the space after the expansion should be optional and only included when the user includes one in the expanded text itself. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.

  I was an Auto-text expander user, but it seems it was replaced by Powertext. Chrome shows 1.0.0 installed, but it looks like a 1.2 is available? https://github.com/nhayduk/PowerText#version-history I can't find an update option in the Chrome web store? I'm having the following issues as well: 1.backup feature does nothing 2.Import/export feature has only import option 3.Expanded phrases with a return break adds an odd double @@ symbol instead of adding the space 4.When expanding any text, cursor moves to second character instead of end of expanded phrase. I didn't have any of these issues with Autotext expander. I'm afraid of losing all my saved macros if I reinstall since the backup and export functions don't appear to work. Any way to update or solutions to these issues?

  where <!--?atec?--> isn't supported, it'd be helpful to not inject that part of the expanded text. e.g. if you have a shortcut that expands to "(<!--?atec?-->)" therefore "(<cursor here>)", and that tag isn't supported in the text input, it currently adds the literal text "<!--?atec?-->". It'd be better if it just ignored that string and added the cursor at the end: "()<cursor here>". Another helpful feature would be to be able to flag a shortcut to only work when that tag is supported. That way you could have an expansion to automatically add closing parentheses ["(" expands to "(<!--?atec?-->)"] and where the cursor wouldn't be automatically moved it would just revert to normal typing behavior without expansion.

  Thank you for the awesome app. It's extremely helpful in many ways. There is a problem with the date insert function. It puts in the date but also the function of what it's pulling from. ex. if my hot code is d8 and the input is %d(MMMM Do YYYY) it will read November 23rd 2021%d(MMMM Do YYYY). Any assistance on how to rectify this would be greatly appreciated
