Description from store Parents working-from-home, and children learning virtually at home, has become the reality for families all over the world. The development of virtual workplace and e-learning technologies means that now more than ever, families are sharing devices. However, adults don’t want their kids to see the content of their searches, especially if the topics are not appropriate for minors. There is a great need to segregate Internet browsing activities between their children and themselves, while they share the same device and same browser. After the extension has been added to your Chrome browser and activated for the first time, the parent user is instructed to create and customize the two profiles. As a parent and adult user, you will be given the opportunity to enter your birth year and set your profile password once the extension has been activated for the first time. Your password prevents your kids from switching to your profile and potentially being exposed to inappropriate content. Therefore, we strongly recommend the use of a password. Inside the children’s profile, we support Kiddle (default), KidRex, Kid’s Search, and Safe Search Kids. They help filter out inappropriate content and present your kids with an easy-to-use and safe environment. Inside the parents’ profile, we support Yahoo, Google, Bing, Yandex, and Baidu. Permissions used and reasons: 1. Access to “contextMenus”. We require this permission to add items to the drop-down menu to improve our service and user experience. 2. Access to “cookies”. We require this permission to enable you to customize your settings. 3. Change your default search engine. We require this permission to change your default search engine to our domain search.privatesearch.online, powered by Yahoo, as a placeholder in order to provide you the functionalities of the extension. You can make a change at any time to other supported options inside the extension Settings. How to remove this extension? If you want to remove our extension, go to “Settings” on Chrome, and find our extension in the “Extensions” tab. Click “remove”. Alternatively, you can right-click on the extension’s icon on your browser and select “Uninstall” from the drop-down menu. Chrome™ is a trademark of Google LLC. • (2021-01-19) Braden Norris: Forced to download for school. Obviously fishing my data, hate the fact that I will be forced to have this useless software installed for the next 8 months (and it keeps changing my default browser back to YAHOO????) Shady.
  • (2020-09-28) Cynthia Kohler: Andrew F. and Joe H. installed a new shower for us. They were very polite and cleaned up after they finished the job. We can't wait to use the new shower. There are a few minor details that need to be fixed. We already have an appointment to make the corrections. i would recommend West Shore.

  • (2020-03-01) Douglas Stacy: It does what it says it will do. BUT... I see all there "Forced Download" type comments. You're not forced to take it, you need to read the page before clicking on "INSTALL". It is an added item to an other installation, you blindly click install and then get offered 2 or 3 more before you realize whats up. Don't blame anyone but yourself for NOT READING before clicking. In fact, that's the ONLY reason I'm not giving this a 5 star rating.

  • (2019-08-06) Anthony Sismondo: This plug-in is similar to some used by a/v programs (i.e. Kaspersky) but with limited success. Same deal as with Safe Net. Finally a set of plugins to (no pun intended) "plug" the holes the other a/v programs leave behind. Internet protection has always been a weakness with most a/vs' so time will tell if this is what I've been looking for. Most malware writers know how to turn off a/v plugins (as is the case with Malwarebytes) , so Safely will have their work cut out for them if they want to stay a step ahead of the bad actors. Regardless, I applaud their efforts, and wish them success, Time will tell.
