It creates step-by-step instructions as you click and type in fields. This is a game-changer when it comes to writing SOPs!" - Todd Z., Customer Success Consultant “Scribe is probably the easiest "needle mover" for growing our company. Even after anointing a ‘Training Czar’ to document workflows, progress was slow and we couldn't scale our operations that quickly. We are now churning out simple, engaging trainings for our people at 3-5x the rate we were before.” - Jyot B., Managing Partner

I was blown away with how easy it is to use, so I decided to sign up and give it a try. It tracks each click and turns it into a step-by-step sequence with screenshots in the vicinity of your click, and gives a description of what you've done. You can remove any clicks you don't want to be part of the sequence as well. So easy!

  • (2022-09-08) Jake Herrera: Es una extesión muy util, sin embargo, no permite grabar los dev tools, lo cual sería genial si uno quiere explicarle a alguien como revisar algo de interes ahí.
  • (2022-09-01) Sandra Kljajic: Scribe is AWESOME! Easy way to turn every process into a step-by-step guide with fun features like adding GIFs!
  • (2022-08-31) Shreelekha Singh: Scribe has changed the way I communicate and document information. I remember trying (and failing) to create simple tutorials or stepwise breakdowns before I came across Scribe. I love how effortless it is to use. The ability to customize everything and make tweaks to the auto-generated docs is an added advantage. But the coolest part has to be the fact that you can publish your Scribes and rank on search engines--incredible!
  • (2022-08-28) Brian Smith: Really awesome tool! It's so great how it just creates these step-by-step guides automatically. Now anytime a coworker asks me a question, I just send them one of these.
  • (2022-08-27) Raquel Smith: Love this extension, makes it super easy to show people how to do things in the software tools we use

  • (2022-08-26) Julie Rudnik: Scribe has been a really impressive tool that helps with documenting, training, and answering common questions. The extension makes it so easy to quickly record and seamlessly organize how to do all types of tasks. It's an excellent tool that I've already shared with so many people!
  • (2022-08-26) jakub rudnik: Scribe saves me so much time creating documentation for work. I build out training materials with it, and send quick answers to "how do you..." questions. I also use it for training students in software tools. Easy-to-learn, pretty product. It's changed how I work.
  • (2022-08-25) Scribe is AMAZING, I've recently had to onboard new staff remotely and getting them up to date quickly on our systems and even product demo has been seamless. Love Scribe, love the team!
  • (2022-08-23) Tuong Nguyen: This extension is a godsend for WFH folks. Saved me a ton of time taking screenshots and documenting my work process to my team right before taking off for an extended vacation. It's more natural than copy and pasting, just hit record and it'll transcribe and annotate your workflow without much manual input. The best thing about it is you can document internal processes and only share to specific team members much like Google Suite. Instead of answering Slack about how to do X, I just refer colleagues to my Scribe guides and they'll also have something to reference w/o having to bug me. Also great taking private notes on obscure processes where I myself forget how to do certain things.
  • (2022-08-22) Mihir Pandya: Scribe is so cool. My team spends so much time making guides, slides, screenshots, and everything in-between. This makes the process so much easier and less manual. I love it!
  • (2022-08-22) Raina Bananaa: Can't believe how much time I save every time I use Scribe! I'm happy to give up managing screenshots, manual edits, and links, and instead be able to quickly spin up a Scribe in seconds. My colleagues and friends are huge fans as well!

  • (2022-08-22) Harp B: I used to spend hours writing creative copy, but now all I do is click around what I need and it creates everything for me. It's the ultimate AI content creator, and a must-have tool for bloggers, marketers, & entrepreneurs

  • (2022-08-17) Morgan Nash: Scribe is amazing. I use it for so many things both in my personal and professional life! Awesome for IT/Security folks who need to show employees how to properly configure screensaver timeout, encrypt hard drives, etc.. My fiance records himself doing workflows in video games to send to his friends that he games with. So many uses!
  • (2022-08-17) Ethan Hoksch: Found a use for this for reporting bugs to my IT team--when I was having an issue with my browser or desktop, I'd start recording the workflow to send to my IT team so they could see exactly where the bug was and how to reproduce it. This tool is awesome for more than just training docs/how-to guides!

  • (2022-08-17) Oliver CK: Scribe saves me a lot of time and headache by allowing me to easily and effectively share processes with clients (even with clients who are less tech-savvy). • (2022-08-16) Janesh Rahlan: My parents bought a Macbook and didn't know how to move files or delete files. Instead of the most painful zoom meeting of my life, I just sent them a Scribe on how to do it. Thanks for making Thanksgiving more painless.

Also, shout out the new Pages feature. Notion + Pages = a productivity dream.
  • (2022-08-06) Emily Britt Nelson: Scribe is a gamechanger. I wish I had this years ago while creating onboarding materials, training guides etc. These activities took hours of time and precious headspace. It's a must-have for any process-heavy team or those constantly adding new members.

  • (2022-08-05) Francis Lai: very useful!
  • (2022-08-03) Eric MacDonald: Scribe has dramatically improved our employee onboarding process and experience. In the past we were confined to creating our own “How To” guides in Word which were not only time consuming but lacked the level of detail you can capture by simply using Scribe. Teaching new hires things such as order entry or how to request time off can now be captured in a few short clicks via Scribe.
  • (2022-08-03) Samantha Lawniczak: Wow I wish I knew about this earlier! When I was preparing to leave my last job to go out on maternity leave, the CEO wanted me to write a physical step by step manual detailing the processes for all of the various computer financial reports and inventory spreadsheets I updated daily. I will definitely be telling him about my new scribe discovery- so cool!
  • (2022-08-03) Anne Scott: How am I just finding this extension now? I have spent hours and hours capturing screen shots, entering text boxes, typing in instructions and Scribe could have done this for me in seconds!!! I love this so much...but I hate how much time I have wasted doing this manually over the years. Oh well, at least I have it now.
  • (2022-08-02) Katherine Carlson: Scribe has saved me a ton of time. As pretty much the most tech savvy person in my office, I used to spend a ton of time jumping on Teams to trying to teach others how to use various programs or workflows. With Scribe, I just record a scribe and then the answer is available to everyone. No repeat explanations to new hires, and people can reference it whenever they need it. I recommend it to everyone.
  • (2022-08-02) Nick Rosen: As a software engineer, scribe has been great for process documentation and capturing steps to reproduce a bug. Before I started using this tool, I was creating similar docs from screenshots that were much uglier and much slower to make.
  • (2022-08-02) Jackie Z: One of those tools that after trying for the first time makes you go - "why wasn't this created earlier?!" So easy to use and works for great for literally any audience. I work in operations at a startup so constantly answering questions from colleagues on "how to to X in this tool" - Scribe has been a lifesaver
  • (2022-08-02) Ryan Bach: This app is absolutely a must!! Helping out colleagues (especially recent hires) has been a blessing with Scribe. Smoother and speedier onboarding = increased productivity and less lift from my end 😉
  • (2022-08-02) j cuervo: Love this extension! Super easy to create Scribes to share "How To" instructions for any website out there. I haven't set up the Windows app yet, but when I need to go deeper than sharing information for just the browser I will absolutely sign up for that. It's free to sign up. If there are any step by step instructions you want to share for a browser you should definitely set this up and if you need to go beyond the browser, it's ready for you!
  • (2022-07-28) Tyler Bennett: This is such a cool tool. It documents everything you do WHILE YOU DO IT. It's absolutely wild. Even tracks everything I clicked and plugs in links. And there's screenshots in it too so it's really easy for anyone to follow along. Gonna use this the next time my mom asks how to use her email, lol.
  • (2022-07-28) Lauren Funaro: Seriously changed my life. I would spent so many hours taking screenshots and then going into canva to edit them. Scribe is THE best tool for documenting processes. Period! It's a really good alternative to recorded demos too.
  • (2022-07-28) Lauren Lewis: Created a training doc in an hour. Found Scribe, created the same training doc in 5 minutes. My only complaint is -- why did this not exist before?!

Scribe sounds like it is just what I am looking for! I will most likely get the Pro version. When going to download the free version for Chrome, for evaluation - following text appears, [Scribe can] "Read and Change all your data on websites." I need a little handholding! Please explain this. I understand Scribe needs to read the data, but see no reason for it to change the data on my websites??? Unless this change only in the Scribe tutorial. Also, I read somewhere that Scribe inserts ads - I am assuming that the ads only appear during the Scribe session.

Hi Author, I was brought by some youtubers, and I like this app as soon as I tried in the first time, it's very productivity. However, immediately I faced a problem, when I exported a Scribe flow with the dexcription written in Chinese words, the Chinese words display as cube instead of themselves, while the English looks perfect. I hope you may try it with inputing some non-English words, I hope it can be improved in the near future.

I love your onboarding flows and wondered if you used a third party service for this? I'm currently working on our onboarding flow and looking for recommendations on what to use. Thanks, Jamie

Hi there, I installed your plugin on my Chrome profile last week to test and it was very cool, the idea is genious :) BUT it provoked some bug and issues. For example, I'm using Elementor on Wordpress and it wasn't displaying correctly after installing your extension. Another websites were also very longer to load, like Google maps or Trainline. So I deactivated your plugin. I thought it was important to send you my feedback because I think it's a very bad issue :( Thanks a lot and have a nice day! Best, Laura
