  • (2023-03-06) Emily Brennan: Tried this multiple times and it did not work. I was on the right "photos of" URL and scrolled to the bottom (not a quick task) multiple times and it never moved past "indexing." Also, despite the prompt that you can nvigate away, clicking on anything would revert the extension back to the original "Navigate to your tagged photos page and hit the button below. Export" text. Maddening!
  • (2023-02-26) Ondra Muzika: Does not work.
  • (2023-01-29) Tessa Cholewicki: Worked perfectly! Thank you for the instructions to save the metadata as well! Lifesaver!
  • (2023-01-07) Jesús Briceño: It works really well!
  • (2022-10-19) Robert Brown: It works. Fast and simple. Thanks! (Follow the instructions to add EXIF data to your photos, too.)
  • (2022-10-17) Paul Thompson: Thank you so much. Saved me a tonne of time and effort.
  • (2022-10-16) Yousuf Azad: It worked for me
  • (2022-10-07) Michael Thorns: This really works. I was like 90% sure it would be another dud but I now have all my tagged photos with the metadata attached. THANK YOU.
  • (2022-09-25) Joel Forsyth: Downloaded everything great! Very handy since Facebook's export tool doesn't do Tagged Photos/Photos of you. I wish, though, that the end result included photos with original dates in the metadata so I could upload it cleanly to Google Photos.
  • (2022-09-24) David Souza: Does what it says, perfect!
  • (2022-09-10) Brandon Istenes: Worked great
  • (2022-08-25) Jasmine B: Doesn't work
  • (2022-08-22) Michael P: extension used to work but not working anymore. it just hangs on the "Downloading" screen with no progress
  • (2022-08-01) Lea Miller: This worked great! I downloaded over 3200 photos from Facebook and I checked to see if it included the photos I was tagged in and it does. Great tool, thank you!
  • (2022-07-14) Kiran Sanjeevan Cabeza: Does what it says!
  • (2022-07-10) Chris Castro: At first the extension didn't work on the Brave browser, which is also chromium-based. What I (think I) did to correct this was instead of pre-loading all the pictures before running the tool (scrolling to the bottom so that all images loaded), I ran the extension and then started scrolling to the bottom of the tagged photos page. And the fact that I can add metadata after they all download made the tool even better. Thank you!
  • (2022-07-01) Tom Baker: Really good, works really easily and allows a quick way to save all your old FB photos
  • (2022-06-29) Conner Hargrave: Looking for some help here. It looks like it's a brilliant extension, I just can't seem to get it to work. I keep getting the following error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page. My URL is: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=#######&sk=photos_of Any ideas?
  • (2022-05-31) Lucas Manzón: Thank you! Had to try 2 times the download and it was a little slow, but it went great anyway. The tutorial for retrieving the metadata also worked perfectly.
  • (2022-05-17) Martin Ghosal: It worked perfectly, thanks :)
  • (2022-04-20) William Watkins: I don't want to give this a bad review as it is clear others have had this work well for them but when I use this extension it gets stuck in the download step. Once at 1354/1522 and again at 738. I really want to give it 5 stars but it doesn't seem to work for me. Any advice would be helpful!
  • (2022-04-02) Samuel Arrigo: After looking for hours, this extension helped me download all my photos within minutes!
  • (2022-03-27) Mission Million: Worked really well, thanks TJCX for saving me a ton of time. :) To support the developer that saved us all time, please buy him a coffee here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/tjcx.
  • (2022-03-20) Ben Glass: Anyone have this error? Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page. I just downloaded, ensured the link ended in =photos_of and even tried a separate window. Thoughts on how to pull all tagged photos from FB?
  • (2022-03-17) Jake Edwards: Works great. Requested a change to include Date/Time and was added same day. Ran a small script to merge date/time to EXIF and voila! Find a guide on my blog post for date/time instructions.
  • (2022-03-02) David Sandford: Still working in 2022! Legend!
  • (2022-02-07) Jon DeGaetano: Finally. Something that works. Definitely be sure to click "photos of me" before running the indexing. Now I can finally untag all and say goodbye to facebook officially. I'd gladly donate if this is an option.
  • (2022-02-07) Cesar Battistini Maziero: IT WORKED! Thank you so much! I can finally delete Facebook!
  • (2022-01-05) Iain Gorman: Still does not work, Removed and reinstalled but indexing never finishes on a small set of tagged images.
  • (2021-12-19) Benjamin Marquis: Works like a charm. As other commenters said, you need to actually click on the tab "Photos of you" or whomever before running the extension. Also when you "Save As" the webpage change the file type to complete webpage and it'll work. Thanks for an awesome app!
  • (2021-11-20) Ilan Stern: Gets the job done. Had a hard time getting it to work. Does not store any metadata information
  • (2021-11-14) Parsa Zand: I've been waiting for something like this for years! Huge thank you to the developers!
  • (2021-11-12) Daniel Kaspo: Fantastic BUT COULD DO ONE THING BETTER! It worked as expected, although the saving instructions are out of date for Chrome (need to Right-Click the page, "Save As...", then change the save type as "Web Page Complete") ONE HUGE IMPROVEMENT: I want to upload these to Google Photos, which will look at the metadata to mark the date the picture was taken. If I drag 1000+ of these into Google Photos, they will ALL show up as "uploaded on this day." Ideally, the extension knows what day the photo was uploaded (I think the URL of the photo has a timestamp) - if it could somehow update the metadata / exif so that the photo is tagged appropriately, that would be awesome! In the meantime, I'll try to manually write a PowerShell script to do it.
  • (2021-11-04) Peter Kingston: Worked perfectly! thank you!
  • (2021-10-24) Daniel Porto: Worked fast and well!
  • (2021-10-21) Sarah Couming: Worked great! See other's comments for instructions.
  • (2021-10-21) tnshaft1: Worked perfectly! 1. install plugin 2. go to facebook > photos > photos of you (you may need to click on "Photos of You" to ensure the URL is facebook.com/yourname/photos_of) 3. scroll all the way down to the bottom, to load your photos 4. click the "tagged photo exporter" extension button in your browser 5. wait till it searches and then indexes the photos 6. it creates a html page that auto opens, right click > save as in the white space and save the html file somewhere 7. browse to where you saved it and all the photos will be in the folder
  • (2021-10-12) Ann Shilling: Only reason for not 5 stars is the common comment "stuck on indexing" -- you NEED to actually click on the part where it says "Pictures of me" in your pictures page, even if it's already highlighted and looks selected -- then it works. As another commenter said, check the URL: it should have "_of" at the end of it, not just "...<your_name>/photos". It would be nice if there was some instruction the app, or a message in the box, that showed if it wasn't quite in the right place to work.
  • (2021-09-13) JS C90: Got stuck on 'indexing'. At one point it said 'indexing 16 photos' but then nothing happened.
  • (2021-09-07) Courtney Rohde: This extension is great. If you get stuck on 'Indexing,' it might be that you are just in your general 'Photos' area. You need to actually click into 'Photos of <person>' in order for it to work, if you are trying to get tagged photos. The URL should say "https://www.facebook.com/<person>/photos_of." The "_of" part is important.
  • (2021-07-14) Bryan Cook: Worked great, was easily able to download and backup all my tagged photos. The image quality of them is pretty poor but that's completely due to facebook and nothing to do with this app. This seemed to be the absolutely only way to back everything up, all other options I looked into failed. I had 680 photos and it took roughly 15 minutes to complete so not that bad. As another user stated, open it in its own window and in the download select "Webpage, complete" and you should be set.
  • (2021-07-05) Pau Ortega: EDIT: For some reason the first time I used it it worked perfectly. After I tried donwloading from another album (1800 photos) it broke, and never worked again. It got stuck in Analyzing, and now just Indexing (sometimes counting number of photos and most of the time not even that). I also tried the first download that worked previously, but didn't work either. Maybe the developer can check it? I can give you more feedback, but I've been trying 2 hours straight, and couldn't get it working again. 5 stars. It worked perfectly, after looking for a method for a long time this was the only one that did the job correctly!
  • (2021-06-30) M P: stuck on "indexing" doesn't work
  • (2021-06-21) Mohamed Abd el rahman: All what i needed.
  • (2021-06-10) Peter Naimoli: Tip #1: Do this on a separate window (not tab). Tip #2: After you begin to export if it's stuck on "Indexing", begin to manually scroll down yourself and it should begin to start "Analyzing".
  • (2021-05-29) Simon Poynter: Worked quickly and simply; I had 500+ photos saved within five minutes. Perfect app!
  • (2021-05-28) Jessica Noss: Worked great! Many websites recommended the DownAlbum Chrome extension, but I couldn't get it to work at all. This Tagged Photo Exporter worked perfectly and was really easy to use. It seems to work on any Facebook photos page, including the page of photos I'm tagged in, or even the page of photos a friend is tagged in (if you want to download all photos of that friend that are visible to you, regardless of who posted the pictures). I'm using Chrome on Linux.
  • (2021-05-24) J. Mateo Seger: Works great!
  • (2021-05-22) Rowenn John Martinez: Thank you for this! Because of this I was able to download all the pictures of dead friend that are tagged and not in an album, because I need them for a video tribute dedicated for him.
  • (2021-05-07) J: This did exactly what I was hoping for. After adding the extension you simply go to the page where you see your tagged photos, follow the couple step instructions, and all the photos are downloaded to your desktop. Thank you for this :)

  • (2022-12-16, v:0.0.7) Natko Stipaničev: Stuck at Indexing photos
Extension doesn't seem to work Hi, I've downloaded the extension, navigated to photos of me page, and clicked on "Export". It then tells me that "We're taking an inventory of all your tagged photos. Feel free to navigate away from this tab while we work—just re-open the extension when you come back.". If i click away then the popup goes away, and when I go back to the extension all it shows is the Export button again. There doesn't seem to be any indication that it is working or running in the background at all. Please help, thanks. I tried on Mac and Win.

  • (2022-10-23, v:0.0.6) Nathan Lomas: Corrupt Data
Hey - I think I'm on the verge of having this working to add the EXIF data but I get this error The data provided does not follow the specification. ExifLoader: The data supplied does not seem to contain EXIF data. I'm happy running a few commands but stumped on what to do about this one! Any help greatly appreciated!
  • (2022-10-10, v:0.0.6) James Parkin: Metadata exif.sh script
When I try to execute this script, I forever get an error in terminal that exif.sh is in a read only filesystem. I'm fairly certain it isn't! Any ideas, I have read there are some nuances with how drives are mounted from OS Monterey onwards, tried remounting as RW, but still no luck. Also ran the same process from an external USB drive, same issue. Hombrew and JHead are installed.
  • (2022-09-03, v:0.0.6) Kira Mintz: Won't Start
When I click 'export' a pop up reads, "Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page," even though I am on my tagged photos page. I don't know what to do. Please help. Thank you
  • (2022-09-02, v:0.0.6) Patrick David: EXIF data (metadata)
So the extension worked like a champ but now I'd love to get the correct metadata on the photos. I followed the instructions for windows but it looks like the CSV generated by the link in step 7 just creates a "csv" that has the html code of the same page it came from. Am I missing something? I can't seem to get past this step. Honestly that's just being greedy, extension worked great for me.

The app keeps getting stuck at either indexing or part way through downloading process. I have read through all the feedback and tried all of these suggestions to no avail. I was wondering if you could please offer me a solution to get past the downloading process. Thanks
  • (2022-05-06, v:0.0.6) Sam Breslin: Stuck downloading
Having similar problems to other users. Trying to download ~2000 photos. Have run the extension many times and each time there's a new issue. Sometimes the indexing won't start at all, sometimes the downloading won't start, sometimes it starts downloading but gets stuck at various places. Haven't gotten past ~1300 photos.
  • (2022-03-20, v:0.0.5) Tom Hingley: Downloads don't finish
Really frustrating I can't get this to complete the download of about 2300 photos. On the first try of the day the 'downloading' process gets to around 2100, then on each subsequent download, the it finishes 'indexing' but 'downloading' doesn't get beyond 0. Is some sort of daily limit being placed on the Facebook side?
  • (2022-02-15, v:0.0.3) Pip Gray: Nothing happens after clicking export
Indexes them all and then nothing happens, when I click back on it just says to start again and takes me round in circles. Any help would be amazing!
  • (2022-01-14, v:0.0.3) Iain Gorman: Tagged photo exporter
Indexing photos never finishes. I have reinstalled chrome extension, no change. It was great having your app for a friends BD in 2021. I had hoped to do the same for another friend.
  • (2022-01-13, v:0.0.3) Anita Leisser: Does not export
Like everyone else- it indexes, then nothing. No prompt to select where to export, etc. Not even sure how to use at - where do we go; tagged photos? all photos? memories? No instructions either. If they can get it to work, this would be great.
  • (2022-01-13, v:0.0.3) Samantha Hutchinson: Stuck on indexing
As with other users it was indexing then analysing fine but now wont work. Also over 2000 tagged photos. Would be amazing if the dev could fix and this could work!!
  • (2021-11-03, v:0.0.3) Nicole Hellmann: Does this work on over 2000 photos?
I'm trying to download all of my tagged photos on facebook, and the first time I tried it it seemed to be doing really well and going really fast. But I have about 2600 photos that I am tagged in. It went through "indexing photos" without any problem and then once it got to a little over 2000 photos, it froze. I thought I'd be patient, so I waited a little bit and then I realized it was probably frozen. So I clicked out of it. I've tried resuming the analyzing, but haven't had any success. I've even tried restarting the process and I've had worse and worse luck each time. Are 2000 photos too much for this extension? And is it possible to fix it so they can handle more?
  • (2021-10-05, v:0.0.3) jason dwyer: Doesn't work
It just says indexing photos, doesn't actually do anything. If you click outside the box it disappears.
  • (2021-07-05, v:0.0.3) Pau Ortega: Stopped working
For some reason the first time I used it it worked perfectly. After I tried donwloading from another album (1800 photos) it broke, and never worked again. It got stuck in Analyzing, and now just Indexing (sometimes counting number of photos and most of the time not even that). I'm having the same issue where it gets stuck on indexing and if I click outside the browser, the extension shuts down.
  • (2021-06-24, v:0.0.3) marc conway: Not working
Exactly the same as the above. The extension goes through "indexing" and then "analyzing" photos but never given prompt to download the photos. Don't think this works yet, unless I'm missing something.
  • (2021-06-01, v:0.0.3) Kiri Adams: Please help!
After clicking 'export', it gets stuck on 'Indexing' and nothing happens after that. When I click to another tab or minimise the page, and then come back, the indexing box is gone. Can anyone help me figure out how to make this work? Your help would be much appreciated! :)
  • (2021-05-21, v:0.0.3) Gerardo Martinez: nothing happens when i click export
it stays indefinitely on "indexing photos", im using the latest version but unfortunately it does not work
  • (2021-04-09, v:0.0.2) Andrew Samia: Stuck on Indexing
Does this work on Mac? Cant seem to get past the "Indexing" stage
  • (2021-03-19, v:0.0.2) Christopher Sullivan: Ubuntu Issue?
Just wondering if there is any obvious reason that this would hang when using on a computer running Linux? Unfortunately, I don't have a PC running Windows to test it on but it seems to get stuck on indexing. I have tried running it on albums with only a handful of pictures in them thinking that it may timeout in some capacity if the folder is excessively large but it still won't move past indexing.
  • (2021-02-15, v:0.0.1) Jon C: Doesn't work -- extension indexes and analyzes photos but I can't download?
Was hopeful for this extension since I haven't found anything else that works since Facebook Classic was deprecated. The extension goes through "indexing" and then "analyzing" photos but never given prompt to download the photos. Don't think this works yet, unless I'm missing something.
