  • (2023-11-21) Joshua Baker: Works seamlessly. You have to pay for timestamps, which is absolutely worth it.
  • (2023-10-31) Azaac Tan: I paid the $5 for the date tagging - it works fantastically! Thank you for making this, and yes, goodbye FB
  • (2023-09-24) Chloe Short: I rarely leave reviews, but so impressed by this one I had to - FINALLY can delete facebook without losing my memories. Minimum faff, despite facebook's best effort to keep their grasp on their long gone users!
  • (2023-09-08) Frank Bauer Jr.: Kept getting "Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page (or a different photos page) and try again." Tom Cleveland the developer of the app reached out to me (Tom Cleveland <[email protected]>) and advised I needed to add a Facebook username. Once I added a username, the extension worked flawlessly. Tom - thank you for developing this app and also thank you for keeping in touch with people who have issues!
  • (2023-08-26) Gabrielle Marion: So grateful for this! Amazing tool with no need to log in or pay or anything
  • (2023-07-29) James Antonaglia: Excellent, simple, and straightforward. Downloaded 1500+ photos in less than 10 minutes. I'm seeing some reviews saying that it hangs as it starts the download, after it scrapes, but that must have been fixed. It worked flawlessly.
  • (2023-07-18) Sarah Porder: This extension is incredible. As someone who grew up with my life on facebook I've always been fearful of losing all my photos from my formative years. Not only does this extension work and is unbelievably user friendly, but the creator Tom Cleveland is so amazing. I cannot gush enough about this extension - anyone with facebook should use it. I cannot believe it's free as well.
  • (2023-07-18) Janek: nicely done, thank you
  • (2023-07-17) quizzacious: Add-on indexes all photos, starts downloading, and then at some point will say "Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'currMedia')" and not work anymore. Are there any fixes available for this?
  • (2023-07-16) Cameron Willard: Does what it says it'll do. Super easy to use, I was happy to pay the $5 for timestamps, really chuffed there's a product that does this so easily. Saved me hours of time.
  • (2023-07-10) Nicole Olakkengil: Downloaded everything really quickly and would give a 5/5 but two problems. One is that the image quality is downgraded which sucks and the second is after paying for the timestamp add-on, the actual timestamps do not get added to the metadata once the photos are downloaded. Any way to fix? Thank you!
  • (2023-05-17) Richard Hughes: Brilliant, worked perfectly.
  • (2023-04-27) reedtheline: Great tool! Had many of the same challenges as people below, but managed to piece together the instructions the developer provided with what others were saying and got there in the end.
  • (2023-04-23) Robert Mostyn: Does what is says!
  • (2023-04-20) Yiqiu Wang: Great - works as described
  • (2023-04-10) Lindsay Lewandowski: No issues (so far)!
  • (2023-04-09) Lukas Enwall: Can't get past the indexing phase, anyone else have this issue and has resolved it?
  • (2023-04-07) alice hines: It will work to get your photos, but the metadata solution doesn't work and the dev doesn't appear to be actively responding to qs.
  • (2023-03-24) Tristan: Worked perfectly and very much appreciated the guide to modify the exif data for the photos as well -- thank you!
  • (2023-03-06) Emily Brennan: Tried this multiple times and it did not work. I was on the right "photos of" URL and scrolled to the bottom (not a quick task) multiple times and it never moved past "indexing." Also, despite the prompt that you can nvigate away, clicking on anything would revert the extension back to the original "Navigate to your tagged photos page and hit the button below. Export" text. Maddening!
  • (2023-02-26) Ondra Muzika: Does not work.
  • (2023-01-29) Tessa: Worked perfectly! Thank you for the instructions to save the metadata as well! Lifesaver!
  • (2023-01-07) Jesús Briceño: It works really well!
  • (2022-10-19) Robert Brown: It works. Fast and simple. Thanks! (Follow the instructions to add EXIF data to your photos, too.)
  • (2022-10-17) Paul Thompson: Thank you so much. Saved me a tonne of time and effort.
  • (2022-10-16) Yousuf Azad: It worked for me
  • (2022-10-07) Michael T: This really works. I was like 90% sure it would be another dud but I now have all my tagged photos with the metadata attached. THANK YOU.
  • (2022-09-25) Joel Forsyth: Downloaded everything great! Very handy since Facebook's export tool doesn't do Tagged Photos/Photos of you. I wish, though, that the end result included photos with original dates in the metadata so I could upload it cleanly to Google Photos.
  • (2022-09-24) David Souza: Does what it says, perfect!
  • (2022-09-10) Brandon Istenes: Worked great
  • (2022-08-25) J B: Doesn't work
  • (2022-08-22) Michael P: extension used to work but not working anymore. it just hangs on the "Downloading" screen with no progress
  • (2022-08-01) Lea Miller: This worked great! I downloaded over 3200 photos from Facebook and I checked to see if it included the photos I was tagged in and it does. Great tool, thank you!
  • (2022-07-14) Kiran Sanjeevan Cabeza: Does what it says!
  • (2022-07-10) Chris Castro: At first the extension didn't work on the Brave browser, which is also chromium-based. What I (think I) did to correct this was instead of pre-loading all the pictures before running the tool (scrolling to the bottom so that all images loaded), I ran the extension and then started scrolling to the bottom of the tagged photos page. And the fact that I can add metadata after they all download made the tool even better. Thank you!
  • (2022-07-01) Tom Baker: Really good, works really easily and allows a quick way to save all your old FB photos
  • (2022-06-29) Conner Hargrave: Looking for some help here. It looks like it's a brilliant extension, I just can't seem to get it to work. I keep getting the following error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page. My URL is: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=#######&sk=photos_of Any ideas?
  • (2022-03-20) Ben Glass: Anyone have this error? Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page. I just downloaded, ensured the link ended in =photos_of and even tried a separate window. Thoughts on how to pull all tagged photos from FB?
  • (2022-03-17) Jake Edwards: Works great. Requested a change to include Date/Time and was added same day. Ran a small script to merge date/time to EXIF and voila! Find a guide on my blog post for date/time instructions.
  • (2022-03-02) David Sandford: Still working in 2022! Legend!
  • (2022-02-07) Jon DeGaetano: Finally. Something that works. Definitely be sure to click "photos of me" before running the indexing. Now I can finally untag all and say goodbye to facebook officially. I'd gladly donate if this is an option.
  • (2022-02-07) Cesar Battistini Maziero: IT WORKED! Thank you so much! I can finally delete Facebook!
  • (2022-01-05) Iain Gorman: Still does not work, Removed and reinstalled but indexing never finishes on a small set of tagged images.
  • (2021-12-19) Benjamin Marquis: Works like a charm. As other commenters said, you need to actually click on the tab "Photos of you" or whomever before running the extension. Also when you "Save As" the webpage change the file type to complete webpage and it'll work. Thanks for an awesome app!
  • (2021-11-20) Ilan Stern: Gets the job done. Had a hard time getting it to work. Does not store any metadata information
  • (2021-11-14) Parsa Zand: I've been waiting for something like this for years! Huge thank you to the developers!
  • (2021-11-12) Daniel Kaspo: Fantastic BUT COULD DO ONE THING BETTER! It worked as expected, although the saving instructions are out of date for Chrome (need to Right-Click the page, "Save As...", then change the save type as "Web Page Complete") ONE HUGE IMPROVEMENT: I want to upload these to Google Photos, which will look at the metadata to mark the date the picture was taken. If I drag 1000+ of these into Google Photos, they will ALL show up as "uploaded on this day." Ideally, the extension knows what day the photo was uploaded (I think the URL of the photo has a timestamp) - if it could somehow update the metadata / exif so that the photo is tagged appropriately, that would be awesome! In the meantime, I'll try to manually write a PowerShell script to do it.
  • (2021-11-04) Peter Kingston: Worked perfectly! thank you!
  • (2021-10-24) Daniel Porto: Worked fast and well!
  • (2021-10-21) Sarah Couming: Worked great! See other's comments for instructions.

  • (2023-09-04, v:0.2.22) Justin Bass: Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page (or a different photos page) and try again.
Shows "Error: Couldn't find an open Facebook Photos tab. Please navigate to your Facebook Photos page (or a different photos page) and try again." For a url like so: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001234567890&sk=photos E.g. there is no username.
  • (2023-08-31, v:0.2.22) D M: Unable to download photos using Chrome
Hi Tom, Not certain if you received my email regarding the issue I am experiencing, so sending to you through the web store for help. "With the added time stamp, I am trying to download the photos using either 1) right click save as or 2) ctrl + S. Multiple times I tried saving and it is giving me "FB photos.mhtml" instead of "FB photos.htm". Further to saving it in the application location, I do not see the "FB photos_files". Any advice would be appreciated." Thank you, Donald

  • (2023-07-17, v:0.2.22) quizzacious: add-on issue
Add-on indexes all photos, starts download a number, but every time will at some point stop working due to: "Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'currMedia')". Anyway to bypass this issue?
  • (2023-07-15, v:0.2.22) John Domingo: Paid for timestamp feature, but I just get an error
Hi. The extension worked the first time, then I paid for the timestamp feature and then got an error during the timestamp adding process. So I created a new export and now it never proceeds to downloading, saying "Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'currMedia')"
  • (2023-07-14, v:0.2.22) Justin Bass: Not working at all as of last week: Cannot read properties of undefined
As of a few days ago seems to not work for every "Photos Of" page, meaning it's totally broken for me. The indexing proceeds correctly, but the downloading phase immediately fails every time, returning: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'currMedia') at content.js:2:83097 Referring to: ... var n = JSON.parse(e.split("\n")[0]) , i = n.data.currMedia.image.uri , o = n.data.currMedia.created_time , s = n.data.currMedia.id; ... Presumably due to a change on Facebook's end. It was working 2 weeks ago, but only when a "Photo's of" page exists, and not the "*'s Photo's" page when it was the only option.
  • (2023-06-14, v:0.2.22) Justin Bass: Doesn't work when there is no Photos of You page. Albums don't work.
The extension is generally working well for me when there is a "Photos of You" (/photos_of or /photos) page, including downloading "Photos of You", "Your Photos" (/photos_by), and adding timestamps in the paid version. However, when there is no "Photos of You" page, trying to download from "Your Photos" doesn't work at all, and returns an error message "Failed to load collection details from page ". It looks from the code like it may unnecessarily depend on the "Your Photos" tab. Also downloading from my "Albums" page does not work for me, it simply seems to download "Photos of You".

Here's a video of me trying it out: https://share.getcloudapp.com/eDurpg78 Troubleshooting steps I've taken: -Tried on Chrome on both MacOS and Windows -Open Incognito tab, disabled other extensions like add-blockers -Checked extensions permissions to ensure it has access to facebook.com -Reloaded browser -Read through past reviews and comments to see if anyone else has a solution. The only solution mentioned is "highlighting all the images before launching the extension", I tried this, but it didn't work. Any guidance would be much appreciated!! Thank you!!

  • (2022-12-16, v:0.0.7) Natko Stipaničev: Stuck at Indexing photos
Extension doesn't seem to work Hi, I've downloaded the extension, navigated to photos of me page, and clicked on "Export". It then tells me that "We're taking an inventory of all your tagged photos. Feel free to navigate away from this tab while we work—just re-open the extension when you come back.". If i click away then the popup goes away, and when I go back to the extension all it shows is the Export button again. There doesn't seem to be any indication that it is working or running in the background at all. Please help, thanks. I tried on Mac and Win.

Hey - I think I'm on the verge of having this working to add the EXIF data but I get this error The data provided does not follow the specification. • (2022-10-10, v:0.0.6) James Parkin: Metadata exif.sh script
When I try to execute this script, I forever get an error in terminal that exif.sh is in a read only filesystem. I'm fairly certain it isn't! Any ideas, I have read there are some nuances with how drives are mounted from OS Monterey onwards, tried remounting as RW, but still no luck. Also ran the same process from an external USB drive, same issue. Hombrew and JHead are installed.
  • (2022-09-03, v:0.0.6) Kira Mintz: Won't Start

  • (2022-09-02, v:0.0.6) Patrick David: EXIF data (metadata)
So the extension worked like a champ but now I'd love to get the correct metadata on the photos. I followed the instructions for windows but it looks like the CSV generated by the link in step 7 just creates a "csv" that has the html code of the same page it came from. Am I missing something? I can't seem to get past this step. Honestly that's just being greedy, extension worked great for me.
  • (2022-03-20, v:0.0.5) Tom Hingley: Downloads don't finish
Really frustrating I can't get this to complete the download of about 2300 photos. On the first try of the day the 'downloading' process gets to around 2100, then on each subsequent download, the it finishes 'indexing' but 'downloading' doesn't get beyond 0. Is some sort of daily limit being placed on the Facebook side?
  • (2022-02-15, v:0.0.3) Pip Gray: Nothing happens after clicking export
Indexes them all and then nothing happens, when I click back on it just says to start again and takes me round in circles. Any help would be amazing!
  • (2022-01-14, v:0.0.3) Iain Gorman: Tagged photo exporter
Indexing photos never finishes. I have reinstalled chrome extension, no change. It was great having your app for a friends BD in 2021. I had hoped to do the same for another friend.
  • (2022-01-13, v:0.0.3) Anita Leisser: Does not export
Like everyone else- it indexes, then nothing. No prompt to select where to export, etc. Not even sure how to use at - where do we go; tagged photos? all photos? memories? No instructions either. If they can get it to work, this would be great.
  • (2022-01-13, v:0.0.3) Samantha Hutchinson: Stuck on indexing
As with other users it was indexing then analysing fine but now wont work. Also over 2000 tagged photos. Would be amazing if the dev could fix and this could work!!
  • (2021-11-03, v:0.0.3) Nicole Hellmann: Does this work on over 2000 photos?
I'm trying to download all of my tagged photos on facebook, and the first time I tried it it seemed to be doing really well and going really fast. But I have about 2600 photos that I am tagged in. It went through "indexing photos" without any problem and then once it got to a little over 2000 photos, it froze. I thought I'd be patient, so I waited a little bit and then I realized it was probably frozen. So I clicked out of it. I've tried resuming the analyzing, but haven't had any success. I've even tried restarting the process and I've had worse and worse luck each time. Are 2000 photos too much for this extension? And is it possible to fix it so they can handle more?
  • (2021-10-05, v:0.0.3) jason dwyer: Doesn't work
It just says indexing photos, doesn't actually do anything. If you click outside the box it disappears.
  • (2021-07-05, v:0.0.3) Pau Ortega: Stopped working
For some reason the first time I used it it worked perfectly. After I tried donwloading from another album (1800 photos) it broke, and never worked again. It got stuck in Analyzing, and now just Indexing (sometimes counting number of photos and most of the time not even that). I also tried the first download that worked previously, but didn't work either. Maybe the developer can check it? I can give you more feedback, but I've been trying 2 hours straight, and couldn't get it working again.
  • (2021-07-02, v:0.0.3) K.C. Van Elslander: Stuck Indexing
I'm having the same issue where it gets stuck on indexing and if I click outside the browser, the extension shuts down.
  • (2021-06-24, v:0.0.3) marc conway: Not working
Exactly the same as the above. The extension goes through "indexing" and then "analyzing" photos but never given prompt to download the photos. Don't think this works yet, unless I'm missing something.
  • (2021-06-01, v:0.0.3) Kiri Adams: Please help!
After clicking 'export', it gets stuck on 'Indexing' and nothing happens after that. When I click to another tab or minimise the page, and then come back, the indexing box is gone. Can anyone help me figure out how to make this work? Your help would be much appreciated! :)
  • (2021-05-21, v:0.0.3) Gerardo Martinez: nothing happens when i click export
it stays indefinitely on "indexing photos", im using the latest version but unfortunately it does not work
  • (2021-04-09, v:0.0.2) Andrew Samia: Stuck on Indexing
Does this work on Mac? Cant seem to get past the "Indexing" stage
  • (2021-03-19, v:0.0.2) Christopher Sullivan: Ubuntu Issue?
Just wondering if there is any obvious reason that this would hang when using on a computer running Linux? Unfortunately, I don't have a PC running Windows to test it on but it seems to get stuck on indexing. I have tried running it on albums with only a handful of pictures in them thinking that it may timeout in some capacity if the folder is excessively large but it still won't move past indexing.
  • (2021-02-15, v:0.0.1) Jon C: Doesn't work -- extension indexes and analyzes photos but I can't download?
Was hopeful for this extension since I haven't found anything else that works since Facebook Classic was deprecated. The extension goes through "indexing" and then "analyzing" photos but never given prompt to download the photos. Don't think this works yet, unless I'm missing something.
