Description from extension meta

Zoom in on a specific part of the website, like you would with a touchpad gesture!

Image from store Mouse Pinch-To-Zoom
Description from store Mouse Pinch-To-Zoom allows you to zoom in and out on a website without making everything huge and unreadable! It works like a pinch-to-zoom gesture on a touchpad or a touchscreen, but all you need is a mouse wheel. The extension offers three activation modes: • Zoom by turning the mouse wheel while holding the Alt key • Zoom by turning the mouse wheel while holding the left or right mouse button You can also customize the speed and smoothness. All the settings are easily accessible by clicking on the extension logo. If you experience any issues, please feel free to email me with a bug report.

  • (2023-01-17) Luis Alejandro Hernández Peregrino: When I stopped using my laptop and start using more a desktop PC, I really missed the zoom functionality on Edge browser, because it's not an actual zoom page (Ctrl + '+'), it's like zooming a photo in my phone. This extension replicates that function using keyboard and mouse. Absolutely incredible, TYSM!
  • (2022-12-16) Jeffrey Okene: It works exactly how pinch-and-zoom works on a laptop's trackpad. Perfect, should be a native chrome feature.
  • (2022-11-26) Steven Hong: you make the touchpad function happen on K&M 🙏🏼
  • (2022-11-23) Krzysztof Nycz: Works great thanks
  • (2022-11-21) James Komala: It's such a good idea. I don't know why Google et al. haven't stolen it yet. This is precisely how I imagined Ctrl + Scroll Wheel should work.

  • (2022-09-29) Victor Yao: One thing I missed the most from switching from Mac to Win is the zoom in of Safari, it allows you to zoom in without changing all the layout of the site. This extension solves the problem.
  • (2022-09-25) Fresh Marcent: Touchscreen zoom provides a different and better experience to ctrl +
  • (2022-09-22) Hubert Gajewski: Exactly what I needed, thanks!

  • (2022-07-22) Panagiotis Syskakis: Exactly what i needed! Thank you dev! Suggestion: Some sort of "shift + click and drag" zoom option would be even more awesome (because the scroll wheel is quantized & faulty in many devices unfortunately)
  • (2022-07-21) Yevhen Burdeinyi: Thanks, works as expected on MacBook with Logitech MX Master 3
  • (2022-07-12) Honey Badger: Great extension, thanks to the developer
  • (2022-03-03) Louise Leigh PH/JPN: I love it but is there a way to reverse the scroll? I got used to scrolling up to zoom but the default settings of this extension is scrolling up for zoom out and down for in. It'd be neat to have the option to change it

  • (2023-09-14, v:2.3) Heng Duanmu (DM.): Reverse direction
Please add an option to reverse zoom direction, as Mac users has different default scroll direction with Windows. Thanks.
  • (2022-02-13, v:2.3) Jeong-hun Sin: FireFox version?
How about creating a FireFox version? I have created several extensions, and from my experience, their extension API's are almost the same, so just some small tweaks can make the extension work on both of the browsers.
  • (2021-12-30, v:2.3) Mooki: Deactivation shortcut
Hi, I like the extension, but it would be nice to have a deactivation (reset website back to 100%/default) by clicking left+right mouse button at the same time. A long with that perhaps in the address bar display what size is being used in % (E.g 100%, 125%, 150%). I used to have a plugin like this until Google removed it for tracking or something. Yours comes the closest but missing the above, hence the suggestion.
  • (2021-11-30, v:2.0) Jaekyeom Kim (Jaekyeom Kim): [Feature request] Activation key customization
Thanks for this great plugin! Could you please let users choose their own key combinations (e.g., ctrl + alt) for activation? It's conflicting with one of the other features I'm using. OR, if that's too much to ask, could you at least add Ctrl + Scroll Wheel as an option, please? It's consistent with PDF zoom in Chrome.
  • (2021-08-14, v:1.0) JiaChen ZENG: Suggest for alternative activation mode
I hope it can have left click + mouse wheel as an activation mode. I'm using Cent Browser which is basically a fork of Chrome. In Cent Browser, right click + mouse wheel will switch tabs by default, which conflicts with this extension.
  • (2021-07-26, v:1.0) Sergio: it does not work
it does not work at all, I really need it and this is the only remotely close solution that I've found online
  • (2021-06-09, v:1.0) Krischal Khanal: Doesn't work on chrome web store
This extension is not working in the website that I downloaded it from.
  • (2021-06-09, v:1.0) Krischal Khanal: A few suggestions
Would you add functions that does following things? 1. Ability to pan the website by holding Alt and dragging. 2. Ability to zoom out the part zoomed in by touchpad.
  • (2021-06-09, v:1.0) Krischal Khanal: Multiple Zooming Issue
It appears that zooming using touchpad and zooming using this extension are separate things. That is because, if I zoom using this extension, then try to zoom out by pinching out on the touchpad, it doesn't work and neither does vice versa. Touchpad only zooms out the amount zoomed in by the touchpad, and the same is true for this extension. I would like to suggest to use more internal functions that interfaces with internal functioning of touchpad zooming, if possible.
