FEATURES
Create a task instantly
Turn any tab or email into a task as soon as you think of it. Just click the extension button in your browser bar or use the keyboard shortcut Opt + Z (or Alt + Z). This lets you quickly add tasks while you work and attach a tab or resource. With your to-do list accessible from every page, it’s easier to stay on top of tasks.
Top tasks at your fingertips
Your task list is now just a click away in Chrome. Without leaving your current tab or interrupting your workflow, you can access your most important tasks and log any other to-dos that come to mind.
Convenient task popup
Workona’s task manager includes a popup that’s just a click away. This helps you capture to-dos without opening a separate app. It’s designed to cut down on context switching so you can maintain focus. Without breaking your workflow, you can create as many todo lists as you need.
To-do lists for every project
Want to separate your to-dos by project? Add them to workspaces, which can provide instant context for each task. To give even more context, attach relevant tabs and docs to the task.
Fully featured task list
Your task list includes a rich text editor for polished formatting, keyboard shortcuts to move faster, and intuitive drag-and-drop attachments. Plus, a due date email digest to let you know when deadlines are here (optional).

- (2024-12-02) Tim Richardson: I'm in a position in which I need to manage lots of data (tabs, emails, files, slack messages) related to specific projects. I've found Workona to be highly effective in helping me work the way I want to work. I use the Tasks feature to track action items across my projects. I love the "orphan" task feature, which allows me to add tasks not related to any specific project. Pinning the task tab next to my workona tab enables me to flow between my work and my tasks effortlessly, copying data back as needed.d Each task allows you to open a free-form text area to which you can format, add attachments and hyperlinks. At the same time, the task feature is not complicated, as some project management features tend to be. If Workona were to ask what recommendations I have next; I would offer that...as a very advanced user, I am ready to see my tasks in three different views. List view (already the default). Kanban view (would be a nice to have as I have tasks that are backlogged). Calendar view (to see what's due on which days). A second advanced feature your product team might consider is the ability to add custom fields to the task. There are a few items I track for every task I do, such as "Primary Stakeholder," "Budget Item," etc. Again, I love the simplicity of it; but as a paying customer, I would also pay for some of these advanced features.

- (2024-09-17) Moe Bazzi: Great for productivity! It also works really well with the 'Tidy Tab Groups' extension, which is really helpful for automatically organizing your tab bar 👉 https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tidy-tab-groups/fohgbkobjdckaapjimleemkolchkmebf

- (2024-07-21) Ath Pringles: I like the idea of this extension. It's pretty simple and intuitive to understand. However, I felt like because of the extension is naturally intuitive to use, I was bothered by how the tutorial was set-up. Personally, it felt intrusive to me and I would have preferred a more minimalistic tutorial -or- the option to access the tutorial if needed. The way it's currently done makes it feel like it's a pop-up ad. Once I clicked out of the tutorial, though, the app seems fine. Another thing I would like this app to have is the customized times. Currently, it seems like it's set up in 30 minute increments. I don't have an issue with how there's a drop-down for this, but I also want the option to in-put my own time.

- (2024-02-04) Beatriz Huang: Intuitive, easy to use. Help to organize my work.
- (2023-12-22) Eileen Huan: Fabulous plugin, as 1 of the 5 (yes ONLY 5) plugins in my Chrome. The No.6 to No. N were removed as not good or not efficient tooling after trying them some time. I always do such clean work from time to time.
- (2023-12-14) Burhan ur Rehman: pleease an android app would be great helps manage my tasks effectively
- (2023-12-08) Daniel Finck: Unfortunately, it doesn't have a shortcut for quickly adding a task. It simply opens the task overview and then you still have to click on a couple of buttons to add the current page as a task. Too cumbersome for me.
- (2023-12-07) Sheng Lin: a very useful tool! making easy to classify some opening webs.
- (2023-11-29) Vivian Le: it's really nice but can you add sub-tasks for a task?
- (2023-09-01) Leo Cabrera: very good ui, love it! I wished there was a tasks app on ios or ipad os.

- (2023-06-29) Aura Ferreiro: Love this tool. Google drive is great for collaborative work but it can be a nightmare to find shared documents across all the different folders. I especially like that I can pin docs and links to my task list and just run through it without wasting time looking for things.

- (2023-05-17) David Moore: I love it! Workona is an answer to prayer because of my struggle with ADHD. Everything must have a purpose and a place. Workona scratches that chronic itch, that is, ADHD and suits the intractable emmanse of human need for **places and names of things** even in virtual spaces! 🙏🏾 Thank you so much! **Nitpicking Requests** [ ] Auto Light/Dark DynamicThemes. Gotta be straight with you; the default theme is ho-hum and feels dated...like 2016 type vibe. idk. Doesn't feel fresh. But functionally amazing!!! [ ] Allow the users to replace the Workona logo inside the workspace with our own custom logo. Call me vain, but I want to feel in control. 👨🏾💻🤷🏾 [ ] Separate iOS and Android apps for the Todo list that syncs across devices and add the Todo in the Workona app. Or the former if not both. For those not sure what problem Workona solves, here's my take below: Workona is clearly the product of genuine time and thought for what I call the Web Browser Paradox (lol). There are a lot of apps and important web pages online to help with so many aspects of life, work, and productivity, but an app for the browser as a whole to "rule them all" t and then get itself out of the way is what's been missing for decades. The Web Browser Paradox is mainly two compounding problems: (1) The embeddedness of the bookmarks bar--"out of sight, out of mind" (or the lengthy browser Reading List) and (2) the infernal stack of unorganized browser tabs that you fear closing (like an old early 2000s Windows computer with a malware pop-up window infection). In conclusion, Workona, you got the assignment! Double thanks! Fin

My time is so much more efficient due to this brilliant "extension" -- not a powerful enough word --- WORKONA is a game changer.
