Description from store
iCloud Passwords lets you securely fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Chrome. Any new passwords you create in Chrome are saved to your iCloud Keychain so that they are also available across your Apple devices. The extension can also generate verification codes, which you can set up by right-clicking on a QR code.
The iCloud Passwords extension is compatible with macOS Sonoma or later, and Windows versions supported by the iCloud for Windows app. To enable the extension on a PC, download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and enable iCloud Passwords.

- (2025-08-26) Lizbeth Coronel-galan: hate how it asks for a code like the whole point is for me to use my thumbs n dip (1/10) steve jobs rolling in his grave
- (2025-08-26) Kai Sereni: Feels intentionally difficult to use. There's no way the same people who made the iPhone, AirPods, the Mac, and the iPad made this time-wasting useless mess.
- (2025-08-25) Michael Cusic: Completely useless. Does not work at all on Chrome.
- (2025-08-24) Brett Elliott: Works great for me in windows. I have iCloud installed on the machine, and the extension works well in Chrome on windows. I've never tried it on macOS; I use Safari on macOS.
- (2025-08-20) Lee Sw: Lmao the iCloud password does not work on Mac.
- (2025-08-20) Tsvetan Tsvetkov: I also get "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed." although I'm running the latest MacOS version 15.6
- (2025-08-20) Aaron Fredricks: ZERO stars. Like most things coming out of Apple lately, this extension is useless trash and straight up does not work.
- (2025-08-20) Du Kim: i need to type code anytime.
- (2025-08-15) Maksymilian Majer: The extension is very helpful for filling out passwords and 2FA codes. I switched to it for convenient password filling across all my Apple devices, but why does it manage the payment methods and billing addresses in Chrome when it can't fill those? I can either disable the extension and allow Chrome to fill this out or enable it and manually copy and paste my payment and billing information. This should be fixed.
- (2025-08-13) Matthew Kane: Great when it works. Constantly crashing.
- (2025-08-13) Dũng Kiều Anh: Completely useless extension, is this really apple standard?
- (2025-08-11) Sinemis Toktas: the extension says it needs Sonoma or later to be installed and doesn't work, even though I have Sonoma installed
- (2025-08-11) Oscar: Awful experience, not what I usually get from apple. Had to perform some random troubleshooting to get the icloud app working, which a reviewer on the microsoft store thankfully provided. Even then, why have you chosen to make it so each time I open the extension for the first time I have to enter the PIN in. Whats the point of doing that when it appears on the same screen in the bottom right - surely it occured to you to have this done automatically? Just seems kinda lazy from apple.
- (2025-08-09) Arsen Freeman: Support Please Urgently add support to last versions of Mac OS. this extension isn't working anymore. asking to update mac os. but i am already on macos sequioia
- (2025-08-07) Eric Vaish: Extremely buggy. Often prompts to verify again and again, multiple times a minute. Dosent work well in Chrome Browser even on a Mac.
- (2025-08-06) Alex Hughes: Very good idea in practice but very buggy. I get asked at least once a week to reverify. Also it should allow the autofilling of addresses, personal infomation, and payment details.
- (2025-08-06) gaurav suriyal: Works Perfect..........
- (2025-08-05) Hemanth Jp: NOT WORKING on perplexity COMET browser !!! even tho its based on chromium
- (2025-08-05) Kan Vu: iCloud Passwords can install chrome on Linux but not working on Linux (Ubuntu 24.04 ) I'm very disappointed Please upgrade it. Thanks and regards
- (2025-08-04) Hex Daemon: Adding a review since people want to downgrade this so harshly, complaining to Apple for ALL their faults lol I am not sure what others are experiencing, but I have had a flawless, seamless experience. It prompts once for a code, and it works like it would on any other iCloud Password system. That's it. It honestly does work, and maybe people's internet or browser get in the way. I have this across two accounts on macOS as well as on a Windows 10 machine.
- (2025-08-04) Matt Hudson: I want this to work badly, but here's my feedback: 1. Do not ask for a pairing request with the code for each web site. 2. I often cannot click the account which I want to autocomplete. It acts like it will work but it does not. 3. Slowness of response is often confused for a bug or that it's not working. Maybe an indicator of loading would help. 4. Probably not an apple problem, but it competes with autocomplete or other password managers. Maybe ask me to shut it off before using? 5. Today it started prompting me over and over for my passkey or fingerprint. The app works well on iPhone of course, but on desktop Chrome on a mac it doesn't work well.
- (2025-08-02) Tim VanBenschoten: Works well on a mac as well as windows.
- (2025-08-01) Satyar Salehian: its great tool, but sometimes is not working with some forms
- (2025-07-31) Martin Maricak: It works well on Arc, where I already have it for quite some time, but when I try to install it on other browser (I tried Dia, and Comet), it says it needs macOS Sonoma or later (I have a later one). Apple, this is a big deal for people who store their passwords in your ecosystem. I see reviews from May pointing out to this problem. Come on! Please move this up in your priorities list, and fix it. This is clearly a P1 bug.
- (2025-07-30) Leo Enin: Apple, just fix it. FOR GOD'S SAKE, HOW COULD YOU MESS UP THE WHOLE AI THING AND EVEN THIS? This is one of the ecosystem things and the reason why you keep users in it. Although, now that I asked it this way, it's pretty clear: if you mess up such a small piece of software, there's a good explanation for why the whole AI thing is messed up...
- (2025-07-30) Roman Trifonov: Does not work with Comet browser on macOS 26, says it requires Sonoma and higher
- (2025-07-29) Mohamed Hafez: Could be great, but missing some crucial features: For example: Give as a keyboard shortcut to temporarily disable and re-enable! It gets in the way a lot, and it would be nice to be able to use it when we want to, and then to be able to use Chrome's built in autofill otherwise Give us an option for it to never ask to save our passwords.
- (2025-07-28) Justin Huynh: Pretty easy to use. I like that the desktop app just gives a 2fa code to authenticate when accessing bookmarks. It's just a one time daily input. It can be janky at times such as autofill not popping up all the time. To fix it I just have to click out of the field then back in.
- (2025-07-28) Jean-Claude Bellando: Looks like it is not working with Sequoia?
- (2025-07-28) DO KWON: Does not support the Mac Comet(Perplexity) browser.
- (2025-07-24) Tadeu: Unusable. I can't use it because it requires iCloud to be installed on Windows.
- (2025-07-23) David Abramov: What's the point of extension if it can't show the passwords? It's forcing you to open safari or the app.
- (2025-07-23) Deepit Patil: Does not work on the Dia Browser. Says that MacOS Sonoma needs to be installed even though I am on Sequoia which is a newer version.
- (2025-07-21) Justin Chong: The Windows app works adequately, but the Chrome extension does not work at all. Fix it!
- (2025-07-19) Gunnar Clingman: asks to type in code every single time
- (2025-07-16) leandro olie: Works like a charm in Brave Browser
- (2025-07-16) P P: Useless to have on Chrome. Asks you to download safari.
- (2025-07-16) Bill So: Finally, i don't need to copy and past passwords from Keychain (or Passwords app) over.
- (2025-07-15) Kaverr Amedi: Now what will we review?
- (2025-07-15) Dylan Jardine: Does not work on Dia browser. Tells me my computer needs to be updated, but it is running Mac OS 15.5
- (2025-07-15) David Thompson: Trying to use it in Comet browser and it says "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed". I have Sequoia installed and it doesn't recognize that.
- (2025-07-14) J C: Please add support for DIA browser! What is wrong with you all whitelisting browsers. They are all chromium based so just allow them!
- (2025-07-14) Dean Elwood: Poor - it doesn't add passwords, so actually it's a step backward from just using Chrome Password Manager.
- (2025-07-13) Matt Gregory: Please add support for Dia browser!
- (2025-07-13) Becks Silke: Doesn't work "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed"; I have Sequoia 15.5 installed.
- (2025-07-13) Cory McCabe: Extremely helpful for still being able to use Chromium-based browsers (Like Arc) and still having access to all of my iCloud passwords. I really did NOT want to have to switch to another password manager and start paying for something, so this is a perfect solution for me. Pro Tip: When needing to log into anything, use ⌘E to open up your login details for that specific website. 🔥
- (2025-07-11) Brian: Obnoxious. Immediately uninstalling. First of all, it makes you open the Passwords app and do everything there, then copy/paste your passwords. But the main reason I'm removing it is because EVERY time I navigate anywhere, it asks me if I want to save some random thing as a password. Sometimes twice.
- (2025-07-11) Mikhail Gostev: asks for a 2fa any time i open the browser again, would be nice if it automatically entered since i get the code on the same device i have to enter it on
- (2025-07-10) Ihor Dem: Please fix it on Sequoia "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed"
