  • (2025-01-02) Adam Wong: They sent an email at 11:42 pm my time saying their services were ending that same day. No warning. No clear explanation of what happens to the points we've accumulated. This is not only highly unprofessional but also as if a child was making a last-minute decision and let us know way too late. They've joined a company called Datacy (another Chrome extension), which, if it's anything like Surf, will probably be just as shady/shoddy. This needs to be made right.
  • (2024-11-26) JJ: The rewards are terrible. Not worth it, but with how many points I've accumulated, crossing my fingers that they bring the good rewards back.
  • (2024-11-05) Abhilash Mangamuri: They removed all the useful rewards and don't intend to bring them back.
  • (2024-10-31) Alex Xia: I don't like how all the gift card options have been removed. Please bring them back as they are the main reason I joined.
  • (2024-10-29) Brendan Duffy: They had amazon and visa gift card rewards which was the whole reason I installed this extension, but by the time I had enough to redeem them they only had like 100 available until they'd be sold out, which is such a small amount for how many people use this app. Then a little later they removed them completely. I forgot about this app for awhile hoping they'd come back but they still haven't and the givaways site doesnt even work. I have so many points sitting around but nothing to spend them on. If they had a selection of gift cards like amazon, visa, xbox, or steam, then there'd be something worthwhile to spend them on, or if I could cash them out for cashback like rakuten, that'd be worth letting them have my data. Essentially, they're getting this all for free and giving nothing back, so I'm considering pausing my activity until there's something worthwhile
  • (2024-10-22) James Damms: Claimed a reward which did not work. Contacted Surf, and as yet there has been nothing from them!
  • (2024-06-14) Fafali Tsiseglo: The website is good and it allows you to make money. I wish that they would bring back the Amazon and Visa cards for me to be able to redeem my rewards.
  • (2024-05-15) Wyoming: Took away all of the actual rewards. Now you spend rewards on "deals" you can get for free on any other website
  • (2024-04-11) Another Canadian on YouTube Channel: This is pretty cool, thank you
  • (2024-04-02) Sheepify: Terrible rewards I racked up 7000 points over about a year just to learn they removed everything good.
  • (2024-03-09) Cathy Gilliat: Total scam! I have always donated my rewards to RSPCA and I emailed them recently to check if they have been getting the donated amounts and have been told me they are not aware of any such donations and will investigate. Shocking!
  • (2024-02-09) Todd Ellis: All the worthwhile rewards have long been removed and even more recently they've been going on a banning spree banning legitimate accounts on the giveaways side of their site, chances are you might be banned before you even sign up to the giveaway site too since they use AI to determine whether your email address is "fraudulent" at face value, reminds me of the "computer says no" comedy sketch. Not worth the bother at all
  • (2024-01-24) M L: terrible rewards
  • (2024-01-19) shuit RidgePain (RidgePain): added the extension because they said you can claim amazon rewards. turns out, they removed them as soon as i had enough to GET an amazon card. they have all their amazon pages up. searching "amazon surf points" brings up their amazon download page, and the favorited rewards still shows amazon. they used to have rewards like a new gen console, which would be an amazon card for the same price as a new gen console. they had those for a long time after they removed the amazon cards. i now have almost 20,000 points (which i believe is about 200 usd) and have nothing to spend them on since the rest of the rewards are useless junk
  • (2024-01-17) m j: Surf completely misled me when I signed up for it. Surf initially offered actual products as rewards. Such as Airpods for 32k pts or a Nintendo Switch for 62k pts. I do not know when this changed, but now the only things that are available are coupons and discounts that are literally the exact same thing that you can get on each company's website. For example, there is a coupon for $5 off at Bee Kind kitchen wax wraps. You can also get 15% off directly from Bee Kind on their company's website, imagine that! Or, you can get a $50 coupon for Cozy Earth, which you can also get directly from Cozy Earth! Imagine that!?! Surf is collecting data and scamming people to thing they can actually get something of value. Then when you get close to being able to redeem for rewards, they are making the rewards unavailable! This is a total scam. Google, please use your internet powers and help shut them down. Tell them to compensate all the people they scammed into giving them our internet histories for free.
  • (2024-01-12) Faruck Valli: the rewards are really not worth anything, can only redeem one voucher and most items cost a lot more than the voucher
  • (2023-12-23) Rysio George: The rewards program sucks. I tried to redeem for $5 off coupons to body shop and never received the coupons. If they don't bring gift cards back in the next little while I will opt out of the program and suggest the same to my friends. Terrible company.
  • (2023-10-30) Daniel Watson: Terrible company. They started out giving gift cards as rewards but randomly stopped. Now its just useless deals that no one wants. Bring gift cards and items back......

  • (2023-08-10) Naomi U: I loved using this extension to earn points, but as others have said they've recently removed all of the rewards. I was understanding towards the gift card issue, but I was saving up my points for some cool tech items! Now there are only small/irrelevant discounts

  • (2023-07-15) Kayla Schilthuis-Ihrig: It's a great idea, but the company needs to listen to the users: everyone wants the giftcards back. I personally don't shop at any of the stores in the rewards center, so I cash the points in on gifts for family. The concept of Surf has been proven, but making users enter giveaways for a chacne to win the gift cards they actually want is not a move that entices users to keep recommending the platform. That being said, it's a no brainer to install it and rack up the points in the background.

  • (2023-06-11) Trexdino121: It was okay, I joined and got at least 2 gift cards, there was the problem of them constantly being all out and having to watch for the next time it was available. Then they made it even worse by making them giveaways, not a good call imo.

  • (2023-05-09) Justen Judd: I joined because they had Amazon and other gift cards. They pulled a bait and switch and now no good rewards are available to choose from. I deleted my account after accumulating over 3000 points. What a waste of time. Don't install and use!

  • (2023-05-01) Jennifer Edward: I was looking for a way to earn gift cards, but instead you are no longer listening. I was a beta tester and loved the Amazon gift cards. However, you don't understand we don't want discounts to stores no one shops at, we want gift cards. Heck, we've been asking about PayPal too that's can't be difficult other sites have no issues with it. But you guys no longer care. I deleted it but reinstalled to see if you listened you didn't so I'm uninstalling again

  • (2023-04-24) Mitch Orchard: Unfortunately they've recently removed the carrot on the stick and there is now little benefit of using this extension. The available rewards are rather useless; ex. 10% off if you spend $50 on products you've never heard of. The one reward that was worthwhile was $10 Amazon gift cards for 2000 points. Now you have to spend 100 points to enter a draw to have a *chance* at winning a gift card. There is no longer an option to use reward points to get a decent gift card. They claim it's so everyone has an equal opportunity to get a gift card but really it's just a way for users to burn through points without getting anything in return. If it was equitable they would have draws that were free to enter and the winner was able to use the 2000 points to get the gift card. They sell our data for a profit and now you only have a slight chance of getting rewarded for it.

  • (2023-04-19) Tommy: was trying to get the amazon gift card always sold out and now its this new system i dont like ,time to delete this . you can win yes they say so but it cost more to maybe win its not good thats why i give one star

  • (2023-04-14) Magia: They are really frking over the user base now. They made the gift card a give away and now it cost you more points to even win or try to win. Appear it be 5 visa gift cards instead of amazon etc... and it will cost you 5000 points to enter them all or 1000 for just one for a chance and they removed the guarantee. Most thing on the point store I don't even use or I don't even live in a city or town that has a store to use some of the stuff. Most people only use the app for gift cards and they took out the guarantee and made it random. It take you many years before you can even buy a console and the next one will be out with the point reductions. Guess what, they also removed the consoles also. I would recommend people to spread the word how this app became a scamming app and a ripoff. Also, there are online stores you can pay people to live a review or a 5 star rating. You can only really trust the 1 star up to maybe 4 stars. Rest appeared to be fake reviews to boost rating . Also, surf appears to be a dead extension now. People who are liking the post one twitter can just be the people who help made surf. They only get about 3 likes and barely any comments to none. Then you have to watch an ugly guy do videos and lie on some topics. Surf is now just as bad Facebook and other platforms that sell data, because the rewards are not worth buying and now a gamble for a gift card. So basically you are not being rewarded for your data anymore.
  • (2023-04-14) Antoan Georgiev: I love using Surf. I love the rewards and the variety of them. Surf is so easy to use and efficient, and I have loved sharing it to family and friends!

  • (2023-04-14) sbed ro: It was a four star before their recent changes, but now is one star. After the recent update, you could only get gift cards in giveaways. You have to gamble away all of your points in hopes of winning a gift card. Before this update, you could redeem a guaranteed $10 gift card for 2000 points without any luck involved. It was out of stock most of the time, but you could still redeem one once in a while if its in stock. This update has ruined the extension, none of the other redeemable rewards interest me and most others. They took down the discord server to suppress backlash for this update which is absolutely absurd. Will not be using anymore.

  • (2023-03-02) Peter Venn: Its easy enough to generate points, but a lack of rewards makes this a con. I wrote to the company siting this only to be told that it wouldn't be economically viable to pay all users. I uninstalled the add-on after a few months as I should have earned £40 of their sold-out vouchers and I can't see them coughing up the money anytime soon.

  • (2023-02-28) L L: complete rip off. they used to have mostly gift cards years ago when i first installed the extension. Now as majority mentioned there are a bunch of useless discounts for stores you probably wont even ever shop at (and those are not even good discounts). Amazon and Visa gift cards always sold out. And they always provide same generic response to negative reviews instead of really addressing those.

  • (2023-02-21) David Bruggink: It is clear to me that this extension is a bait and switch or scam. When I first used it I was able to get an Amazon gift card from browsing. Nice, right? Unfortunately they stopped offering any kind of valuable cards for exchange. So at this point they're just taking your data and not giving you anything in return, which is just what the big companies are doing anyway (and that was kinda the whole point of this, wasn't it?). They claim that they are offering new worthwhile rewards, but these are perpetually "Sold out" (Note the quotation marks). I don't believe these are ever available, but in any event, it doesn't matter if they are – the average person will never get access to them, and instead is offered a plethora of off-brand, worthless discounts.
