  • (2023-12-16) William Rolison (Will): Would love to see support for using TOR.
  • (2023-11-10) Mark: Add extension, register, log in, all this just to realise the extension cannot be used with a free account. Not even the tiniest feature of it.
  • (2023-11-05) C. S.: The actual service is good, but you must know the EXTENSION for the VPN isn't free, but the APP for it is. They should clarify, but if you're on Windows, iOS, Android, or Mac and need a solid, trustworthy VPN, you'll love this!
  • (2023-10-27) Ali Eren: Free planda bağlanılabilecek 1 ülke olduğu yazarken arayüzde bağlanılacak hiçbir ülke bulunmuyor.
  • (2023-10-26) 4e Régiment: Payant, ce n'est PAS GRATUIT.
  • (2023-10-24) Van Nguy: The Browser Extension is not available in Free tier. So install this extension is useless.
I'm a paid user and this extension is useless.
  • (2023-10-10) Cezar G: atleast tell us you dont get the extension
  • (2023-10-08) Sandra Raj: free tier of ProtonVPN doesn't include the extension, real clown
  • (2023-10-06) Laurent: I have a paid Proton account and can use Proton VPN, but apparently for the extension I would need a Proton "plus" account. Very disappointed and goes to show that enshittification doesn't only apply to free services. I will be cancelling my Proton subscription before the next renewal as I don't trust them over the long term.
  • (2023-10-05) Valerii Malov: Has been blocked in Russia for a while, not very resilient
  • (2023-10-05) Maynor Vides: Dissapointing. Waste of time, no way to use it. Only ads for upgrade, and doesn't allow me to use my free account.
  • (2023-10-05) Anna F.: You need a paid subscription for the extension to work, which is fine, but they don’t mention it in the description at all.
  • (2023-10-04) rogers: Do not trust ProtonVPN. They claim that there is a free version and IT DOESNT ALLOW the CONSUMER to use the PRODUCT. It RESTRICTS the ability of using a free version entirelly, it violates its own rules. Reporting the extension to be taken off until further notice. I would give it NEGATIVE stars
  • (2023-10-03) Johannes Schaaf: Wrong advertisement, this does not work with the free version
  • (2023-09-30) Yusuf Pınarbaşı: yrrk gibi eklenti
  • (2023-09-28) View Hertz Records: Cybersecurity is part of our daily lives and it is increasingly important to keep up with the evolution of technology. I just have to say that this is certainly the best available service on the market. Thank you Proton for your commitment.
  • (2023-09-26) Daniel F: They say it has a free plan but it's not posible to connect with the extension if you haven't suscribed to the Premium plan.
  • (2023-09-25) Armin: perfect
  • (2023-09-24) Manoj Kishore Nayak: MISLEADING ! There is no free service. Only installation is free , you have to pay if you want to use it .
  • (2023-09-24) Daniil “Daniel” Kiselev: Works great if you have a subscription. Fast and flexible.
  • (2023-09-23) Roger *: I always trust Proton and am on an unlimited account since many years. However, the VPN service, though fast and full of features, constantly has been a pain in my butt. Previous apps disconnects irregularly and freezes and crashes Chrome OS and Android network stacks. This Chrome extension also drops connections but without crashing anything. Worse is the tedious pop-ups for credentials from the proxy servers. Read in the comments you are supposed to login to ProtonVPN when starting your browser. I can tell that won't help. Proton folks - you are fantastic and I admire your work. Please come on and give your VPN apps/extensions a little love as well.
  • (2023-09-22) Rob Zambrano: Do not bother installing as a chrome ext as there's not free version or even a trial to try first. Uninstalled!
  • (2023-09-17) Ritesh Kumbhare: Why does it not allow free users to connect to at least 1 VPN? Windows software version allows it. Uninstall the extension, it's not free.
  • (2023-09-14) Split Soul: What a joke you can make a free account but can't even use the VPN unless you pay for it no free options at all can't even connect to any servers just use touch VPN instead
  • (2023-09-09) Robert Harvey: In my experience one of the best VPNs on the market. Your internet use is well protected by Proton especially when routed via one of the secure core servers. There are many features that are not obvious at first but one you will notice is its speed. When testing over a wired connection to a 500mbps rated hub, I get around 200mbps as a matter of routine. That's around twice the 100mbps that many internet servers top out at. The pop-up for credentials appears to be the result of not logging in when you open your browser. Try clicking on the VPN icon. If a login prompt appears in the apps window then login there and in my experience that clears the issue. As for those who complain about needing a subscription, my answer is 'there's no such thing as a free lunch'. You need to think about all that data on your browsing habits that you are giving to the provider in return for that 'free' VPN service. In fact you might want to look at buying in to a Proton email package that also includes the VPN and Drive services.
  • (2023-09-08) Charles Fournet: Not working as expected. Always disconnected... Have to disable it to get internet back. It's definitively the worst VPN plugin ever
  • (2023-09-03) Alexander Jove Vildoso: NO TE DEJA CONECTAR, TE PIDE SER MIEMBRO PLUS.
  • (2023-09-03) Mohamed Sayed: LOL it doesn't even work
  • (2023-09-02) Ishir: Doesn't work, the extension site doesn't even open.
  • (2023-08-29) Frédéric HAUGUEL: Paying.
  • (2023-08-28) DoesntImportant: Just doesn't work with free account. But must.
  • (2023-08-28) Kevin Chen: Wow, it's no longer a free VPN. Instant uninstall
  • (2023-08-28) Viet H: Literally no free option exists. No point in using this extension when other VPN extensions offer free service.
  • (2023-08-18) Yuriy Doroshenko:
  • (2023-08-09) J L (J): Unusable as long as we receive popups and are disconnected when using youtube. There is no such problem on other vpns.
  • (2023-08-09) Stefano Fiorenzato: thanks to proton!!
  • (2023-08-08) Krisztián Czakó: I can't believe you guys not willing to fix the annoying username/password prompt every few seconds.
  • (2023-07-31) Sovrim Terraquian: Constant pop-ups for credentials are extremely annoying, especially since you can just click cancel without consequences. That's the only bug marring and otherwise stellar service, but that makes it a horrible user experience.
  • (2023-07-21) leion247: Pretty sad extension version of the app. Until it's fixed and adds one missing feature, I can't rate it higher. I am a paying user and expected a better extension version than this. Issue: -Regular popups asking to re-enter password as has been mentioned everywhere. Missing Feature: -Setting a default country for quick connect, as I'd rather not use my home country which is default.
  • (2023-07-19) Phil F (Verscienta): Does not work. Keeps asking for username and password. It just keeps on asking for it, no matter how many times I enter it. Once that gets fixed, I'm sure it will work great, but I haven't been able to actually use it because of that bug.
  • (2023-07-19) Dmitry Vladimirovich:
  • (2023-07-16) Shaul Goral: Doesn't work
  • (2023-07-13) Triangle George: you know why :)
