Of course I am referring to videos which were not already transcribed by others and therefore only retrieved from storage. Also, transcription fails for many videos with the error message of "Unfortunately, subtitles are unavailable for 12% of the videos..." despite subtitles being available for the video in question and other plugins being able to extract and summarize them. I get the impression that Eightify developers are not keeping up with the latest working methods to retrieve subtitles from YouTube videos leading to many failures with false error messages and they are not paying for sufficient AI transcription speeds or not expanding previous capacity to keep up with a growing user base.

I immediately have a number of suggestions for further development of the project: 1) Make it possible to change the language of the output in the settings, so as not to waste additional time on additional translation. 2) If possible, add timing so that you can quickly go to the place where it was said. 3) Add the possibility of an additional clarifying prompt, which would be taken into account when creating a summary. • (2025-06-29) Janet Stout: It works pretty well however it has been inaccurate in some of the things it summarized. In one instance, it said a candidate in an election was a convicted felon, however that was wrong. She was arrested protesting which is a misdemeanor not a felony. That is a very serious mistake and I didn't read that part and it caused an issue in a report I was making. I have found it made other such mistakes as well. It did not have the discernment to tell the difference between certain things. I imagine as AI improves that will be corrected, but I urge everyone to carefully go through the summary for any mistakes of this nature and not to assume what it says is entirely accurate because it cannot differentiate certain things as of yet.
