I love being able to edit transactions in bulk in the account registers. I love the "Back to Banking" link. And the Payee History is much better than the one created by Intuit. If you work with multiple clients, YOU NEED THIS. If you can't afford the Pro version, the Free version is still worth it.

For instance, it will work fine with one company, but when I switch to another it no longer works, when it used to work fine across all the companies I maintain with my login. I'm wondering why that is.

Most importantly, you will increase your enjoyment of using QBO (or decrease your frustration with it). The software is SOOO much better with RightTool! I used the free version until recently, when I needed some features included with the paid version. One of the best features is that RT opens everything you click into a new tab, so you're not constantly having to go back one step to the wrong place and retype report dates, for example. This tool is exceptionally helpful for cleanups, especially using the paid version. I cannot recommend this tool enough. Hector and Mark are completely invested in continuous development of new features. They're also always available in the user forums and couldn't be more generous with their time and assistance. The supporting help materials are thorough and excellent. If you use QBO, get this tool now. You'll wonder how you tolerated QBO without it.

RightTools also helps with regular monthly work, particularly in Bank Feeds and Reconciliation tasks. This tool includes features that SHOULD have been part of QBO but aren't. In my file, all RightTool commands are highlighted in red. When I was working with Intuit Support yesterday and he asked about the 'red' commands. I showed him and he was blown away by how much time I can save with these tools.

• (2023-08-13) Starlene Stewart: I started using RightTool in October 2022 as a BETA tester. As soon as the paid version was offered I purchased! I was stuck in a traffic jam and saw the email come through on my phone, purchased using my personal credit card since I didn't have a business card on me. LOL. I will not be without RightTool. I am saving money every month for when it's time to renew. I track my time carefully and am literally am saving 25 to 33% of time before using RightTool due to less clicks, the Favorites list, keyboard commands and other features. I had been using QBO for just about one year when I found RightTool. Having served the blind and visually impaired community for twenty years in my previous position (resigned in 2021 to open my own bookkeeping firm), I learned the necessity and usefulness of key commands. Keyboard commands are essential for blind users, allowing them to navigate the screen. But for us mouse users, we can save so much time by not having to move your hand off the keyboard, find the mouse, then get your hand back in place on the keyboard. To date Hector and Mark have added 39 keyboard commands, which has made QBO more accessible to the blind and visually impaired community. Instead of clicking on +New then Journal Entry, hit CTRL-ALT j. Prior to RightTool, I had definitely been aware of all the duplicate mouse clicks that QBO requires... e.g. Going to the bank feed meant click on Banking and when the menu opens, move mouse to click on Banking again. But with RightTool, Bank Feed is in my Favorites list - with one click I'm in the Bank Feed (which is already automatically refreshing thanks to a RightTool option). One click takes me there in a new tab on my browser. Or the Profit and Loss Statement... without RightTool you have to go to Reports move your mouse to Reports and move your mouse to select P&L. But with RightTool, Profit and Loss is a favorite, one click and it's open on a new tab. When it comes to reports... no need to go through trying to find the one you need... just type Report into the RightTool search and you'll see every report available, then just click. If you use a particular report a lot, add it to your favorites. I was amazed to find all the reports that include the word "profit". Another great feature I found super useful just this past week while working on a cleanup. Prior bookkeeper(s) had deleted dozens/hundreds of payments resulting in the creation of 500+ voided transactions in the bank register. Before RightTool, you know that would have meant the tedious process of deleting each one individually. If I'm doing the math right, previously that would have taken me at least 15 minutes. [Let's say it takes 2 seconds to delete one transaction, multiplied by 500 transactions = 1000 seconds divided by 60.] With RightTool I was able to batch those right up and delete within seconds. I used the QBO gear to select 300 rows, then QBO filter for the word voided. Without RightTool at this point I would have begun the process of deleting each one, and confirming yes. But with RightTool's batch tool I was able to Select All, Delete. After I confirmed YES to RightTool's question "Are you sure?" yes, I did want to delete all 300, it was only seconds until the voids were gone. And I had moved on to something else, while RightTool took care of that for me. Oh, one more thing I really like. You can put specific details in the name of the bank account. This has come in handy for my clients that use Chase credit cards with multiple employee cards. By simply enclosing text in parenthesis I can make it easier to see who that card belongs to. e.g. Bank account Name is Chase Credit Card John x1234. If I change that to Chase Credit Card (John x1234) then under the bank in red font I see John x1234. This is a great feature. Tip: If you're new to RightTool, notice the red, that helps you to see what RightTool is adding. I could go on because there is more to rave about... and I am not using everything available, probably only using about 1/3 of the features because Hector and Mark keep enhancing RightTool all the time. Get the Free version today and check it out. I know you'll save time. There's an amazing FB group to ask questions, and to request feature enhancements, plus Hector and Mark are very active in the group. I make a point to attend the update webinars to learn about all the newest (always amazing) enhancements and features. Improved bank feed functionality, add tracking information to voided transactions, bulk editing (where QBO doesn't natively support it)! Escape the "audit history loop"! Many FREE features! But my favorites still, after nearly a year, are the journal entry functions- I am loving the "Group Favorites" too! These made it worth it to me to upgrade to the PRO version. If you need to be convinced you need this extension, check the "RightTool- Popular Free Features!" video on YouTube. You won't go back to using QBO without it!

However, my company's Corp IT has removed it & won't allow us to use it until it has been sox approved. Hector told me they are working towards that goal, so I am still hopeful they will reverse their stance & allow us to use it. In the meantime I am very sad & considering purchasing a personal laptop that I can add it to, in order to work more efficiently in QBO.

• (2023-08-09) Caleb L. Jenkins: I love RightTool! Hector & Mark solved so many of my frustrations with QuickBooks Online! I couldn't live without RightTool now. The search bar was one of my earliest features that I loved and it is still one of my favorite features. I love being able to keep my hands on my keyboard and save time by removing clicks throughout my experience of using QBO. Initially I thought I would just use this internally for our team but not show it to clients because I didn't want them to get frustrated about having to pay for another product, however, with the advent of the FREE version of RightTool, I recommend RightTool to 100% of my clients using QBO. The only problem some of my clients have is that some of them use Safari for their primary browser and so they have to switch to a Chromium browser to use it. I can't imagine going back to life without RightTool! Mark & Hector > you've changed my life using QBO!

Because of RightTool I gained back so much of the functionality that I had lost. I can duplicate a check in one easy click where as without RightTool it was many clicks and a much slower processing time thru intuit. I can now duplicate deposits, that I was never able to do before. I simply LOVE the fact that I can look up a check transaction and see that it has been "reconciled" from the check without having to search thru the register to find it and see (or not see) the R beside the transaction. I love the fact that I can reconcile a bank or credit card account and immediately be able to print the reconciliation right then and there. RightTool has really been a game changer for me and I cannot even imagine having to work without it now. LOVE RIGHTTOOL !!! Thanks guys !

I spend most of my waking hours in QBO and have for years sent in feature requests - glitch fixes, new ideas, etc. Never once, if I remember correctly, have any of them been acted upon. From the moment I hooked up RightTool it eliminated frustrating glitches I'd been having to workaround for YEARS! Not to mention the other great features I wouldn't have thought possible. On top of that - Mark and Hector are extremely responsive to new ideas... I was blown away by the turn-around time from some ideas I've given! I am beyond grateful for Mark, Hector, and RightTool! The efficiency level for myself and my team has increased significantly. I never want to use QBO without RightTool again lol!
