When it works, ok. But most of time, unpredictable. Need to make the tab selection menu stable: from 30 pics, sometimes all, sometimes none. Even when asked to download the current page...
This Bulk Image Downloader extension did EXACTLY what I needed it to do. I had hundreds of browser tabs open with images and was able to easily download them all at once. The" invert selection" feature made it even easier since there were many imbedded images in the tabs that I did not want to download.
A lot of the reviews seem to not understand the point of the extension and its use case, which I guess is fine. still frustrating to see. It works nearly perfectly for me, though there is a single issue i have with it. I depend on the download popup showing the -(1) in the file name, or the file name conflict pop up when i move the images to another specific folder, to know if its a duplicate. But Bulk Image Downloader seems to just make up its own file name for each image and its nearly impossible to tell duplicates via the name. I've now had to install software that I can use to scan for dupes which is pretty frustrating. I'd like to see a setting to choose between the original file name, the current functionality, or a custom one in the future.
I was hoping this would allow bulk download (this extention came in Google as a result of this search) bulk meaning one click - not 500 for each image. Also it would help if it could remember download location - it kept defaulting to what is set in the browser settings. It does the job but only if a few images need to be downloaded - for that I can just use the browser.
Bulk downloading means you can download every image at once. If you are just making a new screen with the same pictures, that is closer to mirroring. You can't bulk download but if you want an extra step so you can see the same images in a new format, then this is for you.
Worked beautifully
This plugin works fine for single downloads, but for designers/creators who need multiple sizes, resizing afterward can be tedious. I’ve been using ImgHunt to download + resize instantly — really streamlines my workflow.
flawless, thanks
Very good, though wish there was an option to change how it names photos. The way I use it, it could download a previously downloaded image and when i move it to it's proper folder, it doesnt throw up an error saying theres a file with the same name. I wish it preserved file name and not made its own
Great
I got this to replace a similar addon from way back... Glad to say this one does what the last one did. The only feature I'd ask for is 'close tab' when downloading the image from it. It's not so bad when there's more than one on a page or the such, but when it's just a 'open in new tab' image, it's a chore to close down individual ones... I'd like a quick 'just download it already' button too. but to be fair, that's me being impatient.
doesnt work
The extension displays a new page with the tab images correctly, but when I click the download button, nothing happens. The developers tools console displays a error: Uncaught (in promise) Error: Invalid filename ... images.html:1
Working fine and fast
shows pics from every last tab, regardless of which you choose.
Out of almost 1000 images, only 24 were downloaded????
It works perfectly, but 'Save Image to Downloads' doesn't work.
Great filters, also downloads all at once no dialog for every download. Use Save DIR to save to local folders. Had trouble locating that button.
Stopped working recently on every PC, looks like a recent Windows 10 update completely broke it.
Work, but it is a no-go to select the download directory for every single picture and press OK. There should be an option to download all files at once into the same directory (by avoiding overwriting exiting files by automatically renaming the file) and the close the tab.
Love the tab dowloads. Reasons I'm holding back from giving it 5 stars: 1. Auto-zip images option 2. Auto-close tabs option (an option that you pre-select on/off before hitting save)
worked well for me, downloading pngs from gacha games. real person here, i can vouch lol !!!
Works great
love it!
Works great!!
Does what it says, just download image at 200 px, even tho some images are 1,800px. LOW QUALITY IMAGE DOWNLOAD
works pretty good...should include an option where you can zip the files as well
perfect
Doesn't work correctly. Only loads some images. Instead of looking at open tab memory/cache and getting the image from there, it tries to re-download it again from the URL which makes no sense!!! I already have it open!!!
Doesnt download all. Tried it again to check if its redeemable. It aint. The extension downgrades the quality ff
thankyou for this amazing extension... it helps me a lot to download images in bulk... Amazing tool
wonderful!
light and efficient
Saved me so much time!
It works though i wonder if it works for sites that explicitely prohibit users from downloading images
It forces me to manually click to save each individual file, which defeats the whole purpose. I had to open task manager to close my browser because it kept opening a new dialogue window to save each consecutive image a good 30 minutes after I got bored clicking "save".
GREAT but does not display the images. So you are forced to DL blind.
Thank you!
Worked great for a while, up until the api update for reddit, no longer reads images from reddit
Did exactly what I needed and saved me at least an hour - 5 stars!
ít reads the file type completely incorrectly, it shows a webp as a jpg and then when you go to download it is still a webp. the filter does nothing because it can't even read the type correctly
Not thrilled. To begin with the file path should be selectable but instead you can only download to "My Downloads" on your C-drive. Second, you get prompted for each individual picture save, so you're saving nearly as much time as you think you are. Finally, I enabled this extension to work in incognito mode but when I try to use it in an incognito tab, it just flashes over to my normal browser window. All in all, there's not a whole lot of "there" there.
Useless. Only downloads the thumbnails, which are low resolution/small size, you can get the exact same results with right click -> Save as... if you save the complete webpage and go into the folder where the webpage's files are located.
Pretty good, but oftentimes it stops automating the file naming. It downloaded a bunch of images naming them "latest - (numbers here)" then just paused at latest and I had to do it myself. Still though, gets the job done free.
Works great! Was able to find images that many other bulk image download extensions could not.
Didn't work for me. Picked up a few images from a different tab (despite me telling it to only use the current tab), none from the tab I actually wanted.
Great utitlity with intiutive interface and felpful utility. FEEDBACK I would prefer to chnage or disable hotkey alt+c is comonly used by other utilities and extentions.
How do I change and disable the hotkeys though??
Does exactly what need it to do --> download images from multiple tabs simultaneously,
Does exactly what it should do. Nothing more, nothing less. Pro tip: Use 'open image in new tab' to get all of the images you want to bulk download into one window and then use the 'Download Right of...'
