It randomly stops working, and sometimes it doesn’t even show up. I’ve tried refreshing and restarting, but it’s still not working. I randomly came across ClipKeep, and it’s been much more reliable. • (2024-08-24) Mad Catter: Was having problems with this on Chrome, as I see many others report in previous comments. I would enter my email to sign in, then would repeatedly get get "Are you human? Please try again to verify." I finally managed to fix it buy uninstalling the extension, deleting the cookies retained in site settings (settings > privacy & security > site settings > view permissions & data stored across sites > then delete the cookies associated with evernote), then I logged into evernote.com & in my account settings & I deleted all signed in web clipper extension sessions in my history (there were HEAPS), & then I deleted the browser history, cache & cookies, restarted chrome, added evernote.com as an exception to my adblocker, & reinstalled the extension. Then I signed into evernote.com again, & while signed in - I was able to successfully sign into the extension again. I tested some clips & it's working just fine. I'm not sure which step(s) fixed it, but it's fixed now. For some reason the extension won't always stay signed in anymore, but it will accept a re-sign in with no issues - as long as evernote.com is added as an exception to my adblocker. On the rare occasion it stumbles, I find signing into evernote.com first, & then signing into the extension while still signed into evernote.com - works well. Four stars for the amount of fluffing around this took to troubleshoot, & the issues staying signed in. Otherwise the extension & associated software is very good (overpriced, but good none-the-less).

I am a paying Evernote subscriber and now considering whether to move to another product as subscription prices have gone up higher than inflation.

Bending Spoons has absolutely RUINED this app. I have been using Evernote since version ONE. my earliest note is dated 12/29/2006, and it's a web clip of the Wikipedia page for Cookie Monster. Please take what I am saying as the truth. this app is RUINED. It is nearly useless. it takes several minutes for the app to even load on Windows completely, because it's just a front end for a web page now. it takes a full minute for a single note to load. there is no way to truly save offline notes. if any company comes along and makes a note app that resembles Evernote 9 or below i will support that company.

It freezes when attempting to use it, and the wheel spins "saving your clip..." For the last few months, when using it to clip Google email messages, you would have to reload your Gmail page to get it working. Now, nothing works. Now for the task to find an alternative.

Have had this app over ten years, haven’t really used it much last few years but have been paying anyway, found Trello worked ok. Now that I want to get it working again spent most of today hitting brick walls. web clipper seems to be ‘asleep’. I do wonder why I am paying = 3 cartons of beer for something that is not working anymore. In any other industry, you would be told to “Clear your desk”

• (2024-06-05) Anthony Ally: Was happy as a paid subscriber. But one day evernote webclipper stopped working on my browser. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Searched for possible solutions. Tried them all and nothing worked. Contacted evernote support and got what looks like generic ai response, asking me to do what I had already done. Wrote back asking for help. No response for weeks. Cancelling subscription and looking for another solution from a company that supports paying clients.

Despite the numerous updates and the high cost of this "note keeper," Bending Spoons still has many issues. If there's a note-keeping app that can import my notes while retaining their structure, please let me know.

Now I have lost many years of notes and will use Google to store all future notes. Evernote has no simple customer support!

• (2024-04-19) Jake Perl: Seems the culprit causing this not to work in my case was my VPN. Disconnected that, uninstalled and reinstalled the clipper, and now working again. Latest Chrome on Win 10. Very handy (even essential) extension IMO. But please make it work with VPN enabled.
