This extension might be the best chrome extension ever! I've already realized the battery saving, and how much quicker my chromebook is!

This extension used to be great but has now been purchased and is doing shady things with your data. how about unsuspending tab as we click in it instead of pressing the refresh button or the icon on screen?

As you know project has changed hands and now uses suspicious tracking. New Edge is a chromium project and now provides this functionality natively.

I see many reviews that the extension has (probably) turned fraudulent, and used as a spyware. Since reviews are sorted by default by helpful votes, this creates many text reviews which won't be seen by anyone. Simply upvote (mark as helpful) existing reviews on the matter so Google will show them by default. Voting one star can also helpful.

Программа не понравилась. Не работают настройки приостановки вкладок. Останавливает работу вкладок она хорошо, но никак не реагирует на свои собственные настройки. Пробовал устанавливать различное время, через которое вкладки должны быть остановлены, все равно все бесполезно, программа их останавливает через 5 минут. Если выставить автоматически приостанавливать вкладку через "Никогда", все равно останавливает все вкладки через 5 минут. Поэтому пока такая оценка. Надеюсь в будущем что-то изменится, так как сама идея остановки неактивных вкладок отличная, особенно для хромоподобных браузеров, разработчики которых считают, что вся оперативная память компьютера предназначена для их браузеров.

You cannot trust the new developer. They are not publicly naming themselves. The GitHub repo's releases differ from what your chrome extension updates to. Unsuspend all tabs and remove ASAP! If you really must use it then you can get an untracked version (with no support!) from aciidic/thegreatsuspender-notrack on Github and manually load it. More info available in the repo's Issues.

In case you have not heard the news, this extension was sold by its creator to a third-party. This third-party has added code to this extension, particularly, code which tracks your behavior and actions, likely so the new owner(s) can sell your data for profit, given that the extension doesn't cost anything. This was a great extension and can still be, just remove the tracking code and enable optional donations/subscriptions (users who have the means to support the extension can, and the new owner does not have to sneakily grab data from MILLIONS of people).

Перестал работать в Chrome 90.0.4389.0 и новее :(

The worst part of this extension is that as soon as you remove the extension it also removes the tabs from the browser which are suspended and later the user are left to go to browser history and retrieve the open tabs.

I have used this extension for many years and have had great success with it. I had no idea it was sold to an anonymous person or that it could be harboring malware. It became slow and unresponsive lately, and turns out it's malware now.

Плагин отключает сайты, на которых идёт загрузка файлов. А после отключения плагина он удаляет все неактивные вкладке. В итоге закрылось более 30 вкладок без возможности восстановления. В инструкции об этом нигде не было написано
