• (2021-01-02) Lauren Gallagher: It doesn't work at all, I've written to them and heard nothing in return. I've used Buffer and their chrome extension works great! What's crazy though is Hootesuite charges the same price as buffer. I am considering switching if I don't hear back from them soon. Also, buffer offers a few other perks that hootesuite seems to also be missing.

It worked at some point but everything was poorly formatted and it was worst user experience of any app. It's sad that they cant' make it work.

You'd have to be crazy to pay money for this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this problem. I'm wondering why anyone would buy their premium products? It's a shame, this app has so much potential.

• (2019-08-15) Sara Hood: Yeah, it's gone bung. With the recent change to Twitter, the hootlet has disappeared from the Twitter feed. I used that all the time! Removed and reinstalled the app. No change. Contacted Hootsuite. Eventually got a response from someone who said 'clear your cache'. Sigh. I replied to say 'with all due respect the problem is on four devices (mobile, laptop, Android phone and desktop PC) so it's not going to be the cache. And have never heard from them again. Tried Buffer but it doesn't do what I need. I want to be able to quickly and simply schedule retweets of other people's content. The dashboard for Hootsuite is all fine and good. I can schedule tweets through there. But others do that too.It's not unique to HS. Am now looking for alternatives. All ideas welcome!

• (2018-12-09) Stacey Carroll: Very very glitchy. It drops links, removes text.... I have several posts scheduled now that basically have no content other than hashtags. the links got dropped. My options now are to go in and manusally re-add the links. The whole point of this extension is to NOT have to do that!

• (2018-10-03) Jennifer Pricci: This is a completely UNETHICAL and IMMORAL company. On 8/1 Facebook Changed their API. Since then I have been unable to post to any of the 20 Facebook Groups I manage. They turned off chat so I went to Twitter for help. THEY MUTED ME. I opened a support ticket. Someone called from the UK who couldn't stay on the phone because of the time difference. But before he hung up he rearrange by entire dashboard and my posts started cross-posting from one client's account to another. I LOST THE CLIENT WHO GOT THE CROSS-POSTED CONTENT. I have had to MANUALLY RESCHEDULE ALL POSTS THAT WERE ALREADY SCHEDULED THROUGH THE END OF 2018 FOR ALL CLIENTS. Meanwhile FACEBOOK GROUPS IS STILL NOT WORKING. Hootsuite is telling me to schedule the posts again. Or delete the groups, re-add and schedule again. So for a THIRD AND/OR FOURTH TIME they want me to MANUALLY RESCHEDULE POSTS FOR 20 GROUPS! Again I take to Twitter under my personal account. THEY MUTE ME AGAIN. THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE PUBLICLY ANY OF THIS IS GOING ON. THEY ALSO DELETE MY COMMENTS ON INSTAGRAM. FACEBOOK PAGES ARE NEARLY USELESS SO I DON'T BOTHER THERE. AND NOBODY ENGAGES WITH THEIR POSTS ANYWAY. Seriously, go look at their accounts, and see just how many likes and comments they get. I get more engagement on pics of my dog. Shouldn't they be experts at this? A trade Mag called The Logic saw my posts and called me. They quoted me in their article about how, as a result of hacks and increased security by platforms, and software tied to an API is in trouble. PERHAPS THAT IS WHY 17 SENIOR STAFF MEMBERS AT HOOTSUITE HAS LEFT OVER THE PAST YEAR. It is 10/3. Over 60 days without a day off because I am manually posting the 17+ fail notifications I get each day. Instagram has disconnecting regularly now too. And then when you reconnect it, you have to reauthenticate it as a business account to bypass the two-step post process. Only it already is a business account, so what are they even asking. HOOTSUITE HAS BEEN ZERO HELP. AND ON TWITTER THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME I HAVE A SUPPORT TICKET OPEN. YES, THIS IS THE FIRST ONE, THE GUY IN THE UK, WHO WAS GOING TO CALL BACK WHEN HE HAD MORE INFO. THAT WAS NEARLY 2 MONTHS AGO. MEANWHILE I WAS TOLD LAST WEEK THEY NO LONGER OFFER PHONE SUPPORT... I WONDER WHY? This is a shady, no-good company that posts articles about how consumers trust brands who are authentic on social media, meanwhile they're muting their customers, hiding from customers and LYING to prospects by continuing to sell a flawed product. Hootsuite has made my life a living hell and the competing software is so much more expensive that I'd have to raise prices on my clients. And I'm afraid I'd lose another as a result. Hootsuite has already cost me one. In full, I'd say Hootsuite HAS/WILL COST ME AT LEAST $50K in time and revenue between 8/1/18 and the end of Q4. NIGHTMARE! I also plan on contacting the BBB. Again, this is largely as a result of hacks like Cambridge Analytica, 'Fake News' backlash and election interference, etc. ALL OF THAT WAS BEFORE THE DOJ PRESSED CHARGES AGAINST THE N KOREAN HACKER FOR WANNACRY. AND BEFORE LAST WEEK'S FACEBOOK HACK. Be forewarned, if Hootsuite is working for you now, great. But they are tied to an API and it is only going to get worse. So much so I'm even changing my business model as I believe we're seeing the beginning of the end of social media marketing for small/medium-sized businesses (and perhaps all together). The user's will feel it last, and not for a long time. Just know it is a serious situation AND HOOTSUITE DOES NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO SERVE YOUR NEEDS.
• (2018-09-27) Have had multiple issues lately. First they dropped API interface for LinkedIn Groups, then Instagram gpt clunky on mobile, and you often have to "re-connect" the platforms. It's almost more trouble and time than it's worth. Could just go to each of the platforms individually and do separate posts... and save the yearly fee.
